I am a student at the university, and my family came to visit me and help to pack my belongings up in my flat, but obviously they needed a place to stay, and i never say no to a free night in a hotel! oh boy was i wrong the trouble started when we arrived for check in with the reception shutters closed firmly, it made us feel unwelcome and unwanted. Furthermore, my mother had warned the hotel manager in advance that she was disabled and required a room on the ground floor, as she has difficulty moving up and down stairs. They ignored this conversation and gave us a room in the first floor. Not a problem, we could use the lift. Oh no! the lift is broken. I understand that mistakes happen and things break, but we were sleeping in the hotel for two whole nights, and we needed to use the stairs multiple times. Again, this would not be a problem for me and my brother, but with my mother with us the lack of fixing on the lift meant she was in unnecessary amounts of pain, more than she normally is. Finally, the breakfast. it was okay, not amazing, not awful. However, the options for a cooked breakfast were incredibly limited. I understand the hotel is a small business and i can appreciate that, but the sheer lack of variety, and mediocre execution of the food made the most important meal of day an underwhelming experience. I will not be visiting again
