基達吉爾賓館(Kidagil Guesthouse)

Très bon établissement, très bon accueil, très propres, petis-déjeuners et repas du soir très appréciés. Nous avions emporté les clés de la chambre de la veille par mégarde et l'hotelier s'est chargé de les renvoyer aux propriétaires gratuitement pour nous. Endroit à recommander !

You have to really want to get here since it’s located 24 km down a dirt and rock road from Godafoss. There is nothing else around except some farms in the distance. And yet this place has a definite charm and is a great place to stay away from the tourist areas of the Diamond Circle. It is especially convenient if you want to go even further off that beaten path and visit the fantastic waterfalls of Aldeyjarfoss and Hrafnabjargafoss. You’ll probably need a 4X4 to get to them since they are on an F road, but they ware worth the effort. The Tripadvisor description is old because they now have an annex building with a few rooms with en suite bathrooms. Our room was nice and had a wonderful view of the nearby hillsides. We were pleased with their restaurant that had a solid breakfast. We made the mistake of getting double bacon burgers for supper. They were delicious, but too large! On the other hand, you need calories for all the waterfall hikes! Cold beer helped! We enjoyed their friendly staff!

Excellent accueil. Restaurant tres convenable au service rapide. Portes de chambre beaucoup trop bruyantes. Dommage pour un endroit calme quasi au bout du monde.

The road leading to the hotel is not paved and bad for the car. Very remote. Shared bathrooms are not clean . Breakfast was good and dinner was excellent but pricey . Too many bugs outside the hotel. Very simple rooms

Staff were wonderful and the dinner and breakfast accommodations were fantastic and extremely high quality. Anyone visiting the area should stay here. - it was the best stay I’ve had so far during my time in Iceland.

This is a typical youth hostel. Many rooms next to each other, but also many bathrooms (much better bathroom-to-guest ratio than many other guest houses). Guess it was still early in the season, the place was far from full, which was very nice. The place was clean and quiet, including the shared bathroom. The included breakfast next morning was typical for Iceland, with cold cuts and bread and jams.
