Well equipped self-catering room with nice view of city and sea in distance. Very helpful and friendly reception team. Nice, well kept pool area. Well situated for local Pingo Doce supermarket across the road and other local shops. 5 min walk to The *****, if that's your thing, but we preferred the old town or marina. Lovely long beach. The rep recommended the Uber app, which proved to be fantastic with taxis being super quick to arrive and inexpensive. We wouldn't recommend the historical day trip as most of the day was spent on the coach and not at the places you wanted to explore - car rental or local buses would be a better option. Would definitely recommend the hotel though and stay there again.

Amazed at how nice this place was after reading some not too good reviews. Our studio was immaculate and had everything we could need and more. Excellent location and great value for money, we've stayed in places and paid more than twice the cost of this accommodation and no where near as good. We'd definitely return and highly recommend. Don't be scared to book.

We stayed here for 3 nights late February 2024 in a City view studio. The entrance to the hotel is badly situated and really needs better signage or access to make it easier to carry cases to reception. Having said that it was bright and clean in the main hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a good sized balcony with afternoon sun and you could see the sea in the distance ( Room 358 ). Although the room was clean the furniture/facilities were very dated. The bathroom needs to be refurbished along with the whole studio to be honest. The pool looked very inviting but the weather didn't encourage us to use it. I would imagine in the warmer months it would be lovely as there's plenty of space and sunbeds. Walking distance to Old Town is about 25 minutes and there are plenty of beaches in the area. If you're young at heart The ***** is about 5 minutes walk away but at this time of year it was mainly drinkers that were catered for rather than restaurants. As with most drinking areas they don't really start until about 11pm although there are places open all day with the usual touts trying to get you in. The Old Town is more of an eating area and is better for families. Fisherman Beach is huge and very clean heading east along the coast.

It all started so well … when I booked in on Sunday 19/11/2023. Room 164 was comfortable and clean with adequate facilities. Hotel pool was excellent. From then on - not so good. What the hotel management left out was the complete refurbishment planned. Monday through Saturday, hammering , buzz saws and masonry drills from nine in the morning to eleven at night in the rooms in my corridor. I have never been to a hotel where guests have been treated with such lack of courtesy. Yes, this works needs to be done, but should guests not be advised on arrival and offered alternative accommodation? Ironically, on checking in I got told I was expected to keep very quiet between midnight and 8 am. No doubt the builders needed their rest before tearing up floors etc. the next day. My plans for working on my laptop during the siesta hours went out the window. Even Apple’s finest noise cancelling headphones proved unequal to the task. On second or third day reception called to warn the hotel water would be off for the day. Fine, but when it came back on it was the colour of urine (see pics). Would you have risked showering in that? Sickening, and a horrible experience. If you go here you may enjoy the newer facilities, but can you rely on the management to reveal everything to you, and put your comfort as a priority? My experience says no. Cleaning staff were excellent. My happiest moment was leaving for the airport. Will I go back? Absolutely not. One to avoid.

Hotel com boa relação qualidade-preço. Funcionários da receção extremamente simpáticos e prestáveis (Bruno e João Pedro). Necessita urgentemente de obras/remodelação na cozinha e WC pois o mobiliário está podre e tanto as cortinas (que deviam ser proibidas nos hotéis) como as banheiras são do século passado....

Sitio muy bonito y asequible económicamente. Tanto la piscina como las habitaciones son muy bonitas y los trabajadores extremadamente agradables. Habitaciones muy bien equipadas y no Hemos tenido ningún problema con los empleados u otros huéspedes

Ficamos no hotel entre sexta e domingo. Correu bem, o atendimento foi excelente e o hotel tem boa relação preço / qualidade. O estacionamento existente é manifestamente inferior às necessidades e tivemos de estacionar fora, fora este aspeto nada a referir. Fizemos os teste COVID à entrada, todos estavam de máscara e havia desinfectante em todas as áreas. O exaustor do apartamento liga automaticamente às 7h30 mas pode ser desligado se pedirmos na receção.

Room 359 was an upgrade on last years stay (thanks) and I had a sea view although it is in the distance it was nice sat in my balcony. Check in simple, quick and efficient, my room was ready at 1.45pm although check in is officially 4pm. Nice clean and spacious room, was cleaned daily, everything you need in there for self catering and a supermarket 1 min walk away. The ***** is 5 mins walk and the beach or old town about 20 mins. Perfect stay and very nice staff, would recommend staying here. Safe, Fridge, toiletries, hairdryer and TV
