荷蘭飯店(The Holland Hotel)

There was nothing to like. Elevator wasn’t working and they assumed my party would climb 38 steps with all of the luggage for 6 people. They had been told in advance that I needed help as I had double knee replacements. They knew about the issue for two days but did not let me know until time to check in. They put us At sister motel that had no restaurant. No bar, no arcade room for kids, no breakfAst, no towels in room, non working AC in one of our rooms, dirty toilet, dusty and smelly. The only plus was a po but lights didn’t work at night so kids could not swim. The receptionist took no responsibility for anything, manager no where to b found. Terrible. Awful, experience. Will never stay there again and advise no one else stay at Holland Hotel or Maverick Inn.

Located on the main street in Alpine is the Holland Hotel, located in a historic building with Western charm. You're going to love the Western feel of the ornate, huge lobby and adjacent courtyard area with fountain. Elevator is very slow, but there is one! Room was very quiet and comfortable. Yes, trains run just across the street; I am sensitive to noise but, despite what other picky reviews say, I did not even notice the noise and slept very well on the comfortable, if creaky, bed. Perhaps request a room facing away from the street? Enjoyed the tub, could have used a few more linens. There is a small lot adjacent to the west of the hotel with 15-20 or so narrow spots, but the small town has plenty of street parking too. Fridge was cold, water was hot, curtains kept out the light, the vibe was very comfortable. Breakfast was a large electric carafe of coffee with some room temp creams, granola bars, and rotting fruit - could be better. It seems the lobby area also usually has a restaurant and bar, which, when open, will certainly make this a 6/5. As for check in being til 7p only, I saw a little locker-style cabinet for guest keys, so a "late" checkin seems possible! Would gladly return

The hotel was very nice and I liked the historic building. The room was good; however, the bathtub really needs resurfacing and the toilet needs better anchoring to the floor. It wiggled when standing up from sitting on it. Additionally, I would like to have had a restaurant within the hotel.

Unfortunately the rooms were very outdated. The bathroom was very small, the bath tub need to be reenameled which made it look dirty the beds were very uncomfortable, and when we asked for a daily cleaning of the room it wasn't done. There was also air freshners in every outlet it seemed that gave a strong chemical smell throughout the hotel. The hotel lobby was the best part of the hotel and is what drew us to stay.

The bar and restaurant had been closed down, but the information in the listing was not updated. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known. The property was run down compared to the last time we saw it and the rooms weren’t especially clean. Staff was only on property until 7 pm, and it was pretty much self serve. Not at all what we expected from a sister property to the Paisano in Marfa.

It’s an awesome historic hotel, Sad to see the restaurant closed. Mattress were a bit stiff.

Cool/Nice old hotel. Friendly staff, ample parking. Bar/Restaurant was closed for the 'holidays' due to staffing shortages. Comfy bed, decent bath, clean room. Would definitely stay there again esp since the rate is competitive or better than most chains. Note!: The train rolls through 2-3 times a night some nights. I slept through it but it woke my GF up all 3 times. It's basically across the street and quite loud, however I'd imagine every hotel/motel in Alpine has the same issue.

This was my second stay at the Holland and it was better than the first time. I remember our room being noisy last time but fortunately that was not the case this time although we had a room overlooking the busy street. The hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the room clean and cozy.

The Holland is a very unique hotel and has a lot of charm i would recommend it to friends.
