This hotel was so lovely. It is on a quiet street, and the museum district is only a 10 minute walk away, there is also some lovely cafes and restaurants in the same area as the hotel (if you like milkshakes, go to The Corner Bakery). The hotel itself felt very safe, as no one was allowed in without a key card or being approved by a worker, as 2 females travelling, we really valued this. The workers were absolutely lovely, all of them very attentive and kind, could not fault them at all and it is clear they love the hotel. The inside of the hotel was very clean, beautifully decorated and had a welcoming, cosy feel. Our room was on the top floor and was amazing, immaculately clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel, and if we come back to Amsterdam we will be returning. Thank you.

This is a fantastic hotel. My sister & I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. It’s located in a beautiful and very safe part of the city, very close to the concert hall & the museums. The beds are so comfortable and they refill the water in your room every day. It’s a very easy journey into the city centre on the 12 or 2 tram. There are lots of great places to eat within minutes walk from the hotel and the lovely lady gave us a list of nearby restaurants on our arrival. The hotel is very quiet, we didn’t hear any noise any of the nights. There is a lovely sitting room with an honesty bar that has a good selection of drinks. It was lovely to sit off here and relax either before or after dinner. Great shower in the bathroom too. Staff were so friendly & accommodating, they even got a hot water bottle for me one of the nights when I wasn’t feeling well. Will definitely be back, loved it.

Perfect stay! The room was clean and as described. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The location is great for those wanting to visit the Van Gogh or other art museums. It’s also very close to shopping districts. Would definitely stay again!

We spent just one night at the gem of a hotel in the Suid area of Amsterdam. Comfortable with friendly staff. It is located on a quiet street close to museum plein. Breakfast is available and looked great. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Quite safe and beautiful- we loved this place and would defo return again one day. Very easy to get into town on the tram and lovely evening walks after supper around local residential streets. We travelled with our 12 year old son and had a brilliant time. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. A very charming experience.

Wow, what an amazing 5 nights we had at the De ware Jacob hotel. This hotel welcomes you from the moment you step through the door. The room was immaculate, the lounge and garden is a lovely place to enjoy a quite drink after a day’s sightseeing around beautiful Amsterdam. The breakfast was delicious (I must mention Andrew who was a brilliant host ensuring we had everything we wanted with a smile on his face) the area around the hotel is beautiful with some lovely restaurants which are just a 5-10 min walk. Tram & bus stops are a 5 mins walk. I couldn’t fault this beautiful hotel. Lastly, Thank you for the birthday card and bottle of wine you surprised me with when we checked out. See you again soon!

Loved this little hotel. One-night stay in a very small room, but perfectly appointed and more than adequate for my needs. Quiet neighbourhood near Museumplein, complimentary drink, complimentary minibar (soft drinks, snacks), good bathroom with great toiletries and excellent shower. High standards of personal service.

We had two rooms here in May of 2023- two of the two-room studio apartments. The rooms were just like the photos on the website. Comfortable beds, kitchenettes, nice sitting areas in the rooms. The lounge area was lovely and had a nice selection of drinks and snacks from the "honestly" bar. The staff was gracious and helpful- we were able to check in early around 1 pm the day we arrived which was was very much appreciated. Pretty much everyone in the Netherlands speaks English, and this hotel was no exception. The neighborhood is upscale-residential and very quiet. The Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum are a very short walk away- be sure to make reservations as soon as you know you are going to Amsterdam. The Anne Frank house (also make your reservations now) is an easy tram ride away, as is the city center. We walked all the way to the Centraal Station area one day, but the trams are so easy to use (tap on and off with a credit card or iPhone) that we did that several times as well. Take the 397 bus from the airport to the Concertgebouw stop and walk the two blocks to the hotel. Amsterdam was a terrific place to visit. We spent 4 days with our adult children and had a blast. Also, you will read this everywhere, and it is true: The bicycles don't yield to pedestrians, and they will yell at you if you are in their way! It can be hard to figure out where exactly the bike lane is, but it is usually red. Good luck!
