When we arrived to check in for our two night stay at the Aspen hotel staff could not find our reservation we made through *******. Another staff member found the printed reservation, which had never been entered into their system.
The staff stated there were no more rooms available. I then called ******* customer service who then called the hotel.
The hotel staff said they could provide a room at their sister hotel across town for the night and then book us a room at the original hotel for the following night.
Aspen Hotel refused to pay for additional transportation to the new hotel or provide compensation for their error in any way.
The new hotel was in a very shady part of town and we were forced to take a taxi anywhere we went.
******* did provide compensation for our added travel cost.
I recommend calling in advance if you book this hotel
