克寧布魯克飯店(The Conningbrook Hotel)

There was a party at the pub below, the noise was unbearable in the room, had to wait till it was over to be able to sleep, after a very long day of travel. Don’t expect to sleep before 11:00pm if you book a room here!

We have stayed here a few times and this time the visit was really disappointing. The room had numerous issues: the toilet did not flush reliably, light bulbs were out or flickering, a toiletries shelf was about to drop the toiletries onto the floor. we had to forcibly slam the room door shut in order to get it to lock, Although the Wi-Fi existed it was essentially worthless and unusable.

All good until a band started playing in the bar below from 8:15pm till 11pm. So loud it was like it was playing in our room. No one in reception to complain to. Was a stressful stay.

Hotel is very dated which is a shame as it could be fantastic if someone updated the building and had staff that actually cared. We stayed there after our wedding and wanted a drink in the bar we managed one with the comment of take what you want I don’t really care! Then we were told to finish and leave at 10pm?? The room was ok but dated toilet didn’t flush properly and the window opened about 1/2 “so we were sweltering! In the morning we awOke to find out that breakfast wasn’t available unless you wanted a small pack of cereal. We won’t stay here again and felt a little ripped off but if a let down after our wedding day!

Reasonable hotel to stay at, warning for thise staying, they charge double for breakfast then when you challenge it there are no staff around to speak to. Rooms are reasonable, shower drain did struggle but where clean.

A very run down hotel. Creaking floor boards, worn carpets, a coat of paint required everywhere. Food was disappointing but staff tried their best.

The staff are so helpful and friendly. I was at an event on Saturday 13th and by coincidence there was a live band on who was very good. I ordered a drink at the bar for myself and my wife. For the rest of the night we I went to the bar I was served by Spencer, I didn't jump any ques. He remembered our two drinks and who had what. Myself and my wife have worked in a few pubs and bars over the years we appreciate the pressures in a very busy bar. He is a credit to your chain and we did let Spencer and his manager know how happy we were with his service.

Fantastic value and a gorgeous room! Absolutely loved the feel of the place, especially with all the Christmas decorations. Really great parking too. The breakfast was also delicious!
