We had a unexpected change in plan due to the strike in Athens and had to arrive in Athens a day early. Joseph was kind enough to arrange our early check-in and made sure everything was perfect. Since this trip was planned to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday, Joseph had arranged for a cake as well, which was delicious!! Apartment was beautiful and clean! Reason I am giving only 4 stars is because of bathrooms and breakfast. Bathrooms: Although there were two bathrooms, but both not practically designed. Technically we were able to use half facility of each bathroom. There was no exhaust in the 2nd bathroom which kept the bathroom wet all the time. Breakfast: it might be my mistake that I understood breakfast's are made to order at the hotel, but it was bought to us from a nearby cafe at the corner. Since we are vegetarians we had requested vegetarian breakfast. We had to leave early for a suteseeing tour so tye breakfast did not arrive on time the 1st day, 2nd day we did receive the breakfast right on dot at 9.30 am as requested. We were definitely excited to see what we had received, however the food was not great (Greek bread that looks like bagel stuffed with Tomato and Olives) . Tomatoes were stale , the healthy bar was too salty, orange juice was extremely sour (ofcourse freshly squeezed) and the yogurt cup was sour as well. This gave us upset tummy and sore throat. Day 3 we said we will skip breakfast although Joseph felt very bad this had happened to us and said he would order what we like. Since it was the day of we heading back home taking a long flight, we insisted of not having the breakfast ordered but we went to a nice brunch place for a warm breakfast and good coffee and juice. I might think twice just because of impractical bathrooms. But given a better practical designed bathroom , I would certainly stay here again because Joseph is such a great host and is always around to help with any request.
