大西洋城豪生飯店(Howard Johnson by Wyndham Atlantic City)

Realized that I booked a smoking room and I called right away to change it and they said when you arrive you can get it changed well guess what that was totally untrue because once I got there they only said they have smoking rooms. I’m a smoke and my girlfriend is not but we agreed and took the room. The room reeked of smoke so bad that I was getting a headache and, like I said, I’m a smoker. I went to the front desk and luckily they refunded my money with no issues and we found another hotel that had non smoking and got it booked right away. Also, the area is pretty shady so pack your 9 or Glock!!!

Firstly the room I booked was not the room I received. I booked a King room and in the pictures it had a couch. I was first given a room with double beds and no couch. Then I was relocated to another room with a kind sized bed but no couch. Another couple came out AC with us and booked the same hotel. As a matter of fact we booked the same day right after each other. Their room was significantly better. It looked exactly like what we saw the day of the booking. Also they offer Amazon TV on the TV but no remote to control it. Kind of frustrating. Then to get the TV to work with the remote they provided was extremely hard. If you get the TV to work with the remote provided whatever you do DO NOT TURN THE TV OFF.

Clean rooms and lobby. Just a regular hotel no bells and whistles. Perfect for a a few nights stay. Close to the ******s and the river restaurant attached is a great breakfast spot! You do pay for breakfast though.

The rooms were clean and had all the essential things. Rooms need to be much more sound proof. Any conversation that happens in the hallway is heard inside and vice versa. The property had open and covered parking but both the parking lots needs improvement in terms of security.

For a 2 star hotel, it definitely was more of a 3.5 hotel! The hotel workers were very friendly and attentive. The only issue I had was our room reeked of ****. But otherwise the room itself was very clean and perfect for just the night.

Parking at the hotel is not ideal. Cars pull 3 deep under the hotel and you give your keys to the desk attendant. If you are parked in the back spot and the person in the front spot needs out, they move your car. I didn't like that idea at all. There is an open lot next to the hotel where you can also park, so we parked there. The hotel had a smell of cigarettes and ****. The bathroom had a red stain in the corner behind the door that looked like blood. The towels were like sand paper and covered in hair. The hotel is in need of a major update! The hotel served it's purpose for 1 night but we would not stay there again

The stay was good but the room description was wrong, it did not have a pullout couch. Also it said it had a continental breakfast which they no longer do. The pool has a strange apron that needs to be leveled or painted so you can see the dips easier. The staff was extremely nice and our room was ready 3hrs early.

Definitely would stay again for a night or two. Room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Parking was free. Pool looked very nice. Only drawback was no mini fridge. No coffee maker but the cafe downstairs had my breakfast ready to be pick-up in less than 20 minutes!

Great stay for tge cost. Not so great neighborhood but outside of it it is safe and secure with the boardwalk and shopping close by. Travelling around town, there is NJ transit available.
