A computer glitch caused an extended check-in process.
Other lodgers were checked in in a jiffy.
Way too many e-mails and texts. In a vaguely threatening tone. "You must reply to this text or you may not receive the wi-fi password." sort of thing.
"Please reply to this message, Very important!"
I paid, OK? Stop the harassment.
The hotel? It's an Omni. It's fine. Just because a technology exists doesn't mean it is appropriate.

The hotel is in a convenient central location for events in downtown Austin. The hotel was very clean and room was stocked with clean towels and other necessities. The one dislike was the hard uncomfortable mattress and the flat pillows. Because of that we did not get a good night sleep. I expected more for the money I paid.

We stayed at this property before. Overall it’s a nice hotel. Loved staying in the corner room on top floor with views of 6th street and downtown. My main complaint is in the housekeeping area. The housekeepers did not come in daily to empty our (full trash can), make up our bed, restock the coffee/tea bar. For the level of this property, I expect daily room service.

Second stay at the Om I Austin Downtown. Friendly staff, always eager to assist. Hotel sits in a great location and puts you within walking distance of the 6th Street are area, as well as numerous upscale restaurants and theaters. Love the local speakeasy, only 2 blocks away.

Room was massive with a powder room in addition to a full bathroom. Separate living room and bedroom. Decent size couch in living room. For such a large room, a microwave would be a nice addition since there’s was a lot of unused space. Mini fridge and coffee machine included. Interesting set-up where view from windows was into the hotel from from which the outside can be seen.

The room was great but the heat did not work so we had to sleep in long sleeve shirts to stay warm.
We called for help and the technician stated ‘it will warm up in 20 minutes’. It never did

All the best restaurants are within walking distance. Parking in downtown Austin gets pricey but having the convince of walking to all the best place to eat and shop is a plus. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel was very nice and clean. What they do not tell you is about the parking situation. It was $60 bucks or over $3.00 every 25 minutes you were parked. Next time, we will choose to stay somewhere out of the downtown area.
