I never checked in....this place is a rip off. I mad a mistake on the dates of my stay and within 5 minutes of booking it I was told couldn't make changes and was charged for the whole stay even without ever stepping on the property. This is a scam!!!

Villa Dubois is a very comfortable & convenient place to stay. Very clean, quiet, and responsive. I was in town on business & really wanted to stay longer but they were already booked. Only thing missing is a tv in the rooms. Definitely recommend to anyone. I don't see why anyone would leave a bad review. This place is awesome!!! thank you

Rooms were in excellent condition. But the check-in procedure leaves much to be desired: Do not feel comfortable texting a picture of my credit card and drivers license to someones else's personal cell phone. Didn't like that I had to pay for the room deposit via square as opposed to directly on *******. Didn't like the fact that there was no human operator to speak with. Given that Chicago has a high crime rate, would've like to have a live operator to speak with when I was trying to check in as opposed to texting and waiting for a response while I sat on the curb in-front.

The place was very nice. It really did the job. I had troubles checking-in because of the inconvenient process they had so I needed to wait in the cold for almost 1 hour, but it worked out.

Not recommended. Place has not staff on site. Communication is delayed and limited to text message and email only. Phone communication not possible. Place is also not very clean (hair in shower, towels have stains)

Overall property was convenient, safe and adequate. Communication with property was not good.Getting check in information was a nighmare. Could not get quick response to text or emails and final information was not made available in a reasonable time frame.

It was a nice place to stay in , but there is few things that are not listing on the website . The check in process I'd only through text messages or email , you won't be able to contact them otherwise . There is a $100 dollar refundable deposit if there is not damage in the property , they are gonna ask you for your credit card and ID pics to send to them before you check in. They have cameras in the living room are , there is not cameras inside the bedrooms. The parking is located in front of the house . We had a great experience , the place was clean and quite it . They had a couple of rules that you have to followed , the only thing that I don't really like was the check in process but other than that the place was nice .

check in was annoying. there in no actual person to talk to. cant change the temperature in the room so it was freezing at night. the shower water is running so slow its impossible to take a proper shower.
