This was our second stay here, the first was a year ago. It seems a lot has gone downhill since then. £250 a night plus extra for breakfast (£70 if a family of 4) and extra for parking, is a lot of money and you'd expect 5 star service to go along with the 5 star rating. The service is where it fell short this visit. Multiple miscommunications between staff. We weren't booked in for breakfast despite following the exact instructions given to us. Reception never answered the phone in late evening. Was told they could provide something only to be told later, by the same person, that they didn't have what we'd requested. It seems a lot of requests fell on deaf ears. Having finally got a table for breakfast it was 30 minutes before being asked what drinks we wanted. Eating gluten free can be hard, but it shouldn't take 10-15 minutes for some toast, then another 15 minutes for a gluten free sausage, which arrived after we'd finished. Also was on the first floor this time (2nd floor previously) and the noise from the room above was enough to keep us awake past midnight. As the title says, I doubt we'll return.
