Lovely place to stay, owner extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a lovely spot, countryside to the back, Lake to the front I really loved this place. Plenty of restaurants to eat around the lake, also the castle is a restaurant. There are bike shops to hire all sorts of bikes to ride around the lake, also the walk is at least just under 2 hours.

Very good rooms! Clean and super good breakfast Highly recommend it! I stayed for more then a week The owner was very helpful. The breakfast is nice. Free parking for the car. New towels even if you did not ask for it. Changed my bed sheets often. I’ll come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked for 2 nights before our tour of Slovenia and Croatia started. The location is very convenient. Our "family" room was particularly nice, with 2 bedrooms for us to spread out and have a work space. The room also had an outside entrance to a terrace. Peter could not have been nicer. This is a relatively new place with all modern conveniences, but built in a traditional style, which appealed to our taste.

We have just spent two lovely nights at Penzion Kaps that exceeded our expectations. Despite arriving much earlier than expected we received a very warm welcome from Peter who went to a lot of trouble to tell us about things to do in and around Bled. Our room was quiet, comfortable and had a lovely view of the surrounding gardens and hills from the balcony. Sitting there after a tiring train journey was a great way to prepare for touring the lake and hills. The choices at breakfast could not have been better, with every taste catered for. All in all, this was a perfect end to our stay in Slovenia. We would not hesitate to recommend stating here.

We were welcomed with open arms at Penzion Kaps. Peter was very good to walk us through the expectations of our stay and gladly recommended the most delicious restaurants to eat at and sites to see. The place was very clean and beds made up daily. We had a balcony which was lovely to sit on in the evening. We ate at the Old Cellar which was exquisite and the a**osphere was delightful! I highly recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast! Worth every penny! 💯

This is one of the best places we have stayed at in years of travelling. Peter and co run a fantastic place where everything is immaculate and they are so helpful and nice. It's peaceful and quiet but only a sub 5 minute walk to the centre. Book on their website for the best deal. Can't recommend Penzion Kaps highly enough. Thanks for a great stay. PS have an early morning lake swim it's magic.

We have just spent a lovely week at Penzion Kaps which is close to the lake and other attractions. We were a family of 4 ( 2 teenagers) and we had 2 twin rooms. The rooms were spotless! They were light and airy and had a fridge, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrooms had a shower and again were spotless. The beds were comfy and clean. The owners are extremely helpful, any questions you may have they will answer them and give you insights into all the local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast room is large and bright and tables are numbered by your room number. There was lots of choice for breakfast including cereals, fruits, pastries, meats and cheese, cooked breakfast, breads and cakes. Eggs are cooked to order. Penzion Kaps has a lovely a**osphere and is immaculate! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we found ourselves in Bled. We would like to thank all the staff for a fantastic week and would definitely recommend.

The Kaps is a delight to visit - it is a typical chalet style building with flowers in the window boxes. I received fantastic service from reception and the breakfast room staff throughout the stay. They had the perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism. My ground floor room was very comfortable and well equipped. There were 2 twin beds pushed together - they were comfy with decent linen. I had a nice little terrace with a bistro table and two chairs. There was a safe, fridge, kettle/hospitality tray, hairdryer and TV with loads of English channels (even an umbrella). There was a good sized wardrobe and plenty of storage The shower room was well equipped and the toiletries were a good quality. The breakfast room is downstairs, but lovely and bright with French doors overlooking the gardens and onto the mountains. The tables are nicely laid out, so you are not on top of one another. The hot and colde buffet breakfast was fabulous with a good choice of quality products. The whole place is totally immaculate and I would challenge anyone to find s speck of dust. There's lots of artwork and religious images throughout, The immediate area has a few similarly sized guest houses plus residential properties. There is a decent sized supermarket nearby if you need any odds and ends. There are a few different ways to walk to the lake or bus station. All pleasant and probably less than 10 mins. Word of warning - it is uphill back to the hotel so that will take a bit longer. Bled is a stunning town and although there are a number of large, luxurious hotels. I do not think you could make a better choice than the Kaps
