薩瑟斯旅館(Salthus Guesthouse)

Located in Blonduos , in Iceland outskirts most accomudations are " guesthouses " with a common kitchen enabling you to cook 1 or 2 simple dish . Building may look unimpressive from outside but internal the rooms are great.......comfy n clean. Its located besides the Sea , slightly hilly and a great place to view the Aorora / northern lights , which we did saw at around 11pm to 12pm, while waiting in frezzing cold of -5° but it was worth it.

We had great communication with the property and they were so accommodating. However, when we showed up, we walked into the room and couldn't really fit. There was no where to store our bags and we ended up having to buy a second room just so we could sleep comfortably. However, the joint kitchen was lovely - we had a large fridge we could use and enjoyed the space until late in the evening.

We stayed one night in a ground floor room overlooking the parking lot. This was convenient for suitcases but we had absolutely no view. It was cold and rainy and it would have been nice for some kind of water view with comfortable chairs available for all guests. The room was very basic. The family sharing the kitchen on the other side of our bedroom wall made a tremendous amount of noise but thankfully they quieted down by the time we went to bed. We had a huge problem with the shower which immediately flooded the bathroom and part of the sleeping area. We had no equipment to clear out the water ourselves and called the number that came with the room instructions. After about 15 minutes a woman arrived in boots and with the necessaries to take care of the flood. She said she found tons of hair in the drain, as if someone had a haircut. She also said that we were "lucky" this happened today because the week before she was someplace else. We were left wondering what we would have done if she hadn't been available as the bathroom was unusable. We were glad we were only staying one night.

El mejor hospedaje en nuestro recorrido por Islandia. Disfrutamos mucho la vista impresionante del mar en un día de viento y lluvia, quedamos encantados. La habitación es grande, insonorizada, limpia, moderna y acogedora a la vez. La cocina compartida (una disponible por nivel) está muy bien equipada y limpia. Nos quedamos con ganas de lavar nuestra ropa, el equipo de lavado disponible se veía moderno pero no había instrucciones para su uso. Nos costó un poco llegar porque estaban recarpeteando calles y el camino que indicaba Google Maps estaba cerrado. Se encuentra a unos 22 min del Ring Road utilizando las rutas 73 y 74.

Excellent, updated/modern guesthouse. Kitchen has all the dining tools you need. Room is large and spacious as is the bathroom. The best part is the view from your room to the ocean. Saw whales from the rear of my room. Absolutely beautiful walk to beach and water from room. Highly recommend.

For the price, the location is acceptable and the self-check in was ok. The rooms are super modern and clean, no frills. Shower is excellent and the bottom rooms even had outside door that made carrying our bags inside easier. Good place to stop enroute to Diamond Circle or when coming back. Don't expect any service or anything here. They had a full kitchen though where you can cook your own stuff. Great panoramatic view from the backyard, sunset looks amazing from there.

Fantastic location close to the sea with great views and walks. Comfy room an good bed to sleep on. Also the restaurant nearby was good. As we were interested to see birds, it was great to have a walk to the sea and enjoy the lovely evening with lots of birds and beautiful flowers blooming around. Would love to come back here!
