Residence Inn Bloomington by Mall of America

The staff over all was great. Oscar at the front desk was wonderful. Breakfast was good. I did get the over all impression that my room was dirty upon arrival. There was a fresh blood stain on the carpet in front of my sink. It was disgusting and I did report to front desk. The bed had some crumbs and hair on it before it was even used, which led me to believe the sheets were bit clean. I honestly couldn’t wait to leave because it felt so filthy in there. Shuttle bus drivers a lady specifically was rude and there was a man that was rude aswell as kind of creepy.

Great staff, spacious rooms, good location, reasonable price. However, 2nd time we've stayed here and, unfortunately will be the last. We thought the first time was a fluke but....the heating system blows cold air. Same thing it did a couple years ago in a different room. The ducting is run on the outside wall of the building and can't keep up with colder temperatures. The vents are positioned that one of them blows cool air down on half of the bed. Tried turning up the setpoint but the system wasn't able to get it up to the setpoint. First time = maybe a fluke; Second time = assuming entire property is this way. I hate cold air blowing on my head when I'm trying to sleep.

Rude person at desk to check us in! Argued with me about reservation! Room could us updating; upholstery on couch soiled & ripped; ceiling heat vent full of dust and fuzz to the point that the ceiling was greyish/black in color; heating in room difficult to regulate.

The staff was wonderful! the breakfast was plentiful and had a great selection. The room looked nothing like the photos on the website, they were old, run down and uncomfortable, whereas the photos show a very modern plush room

My husband and I were traveling to see Mall of America. This hotel was very conveniently located, only about a mile from the mall and a mile from a Walmart. The full, ready kitchen was an amazing plus. Free breakfast and parking, plus hourly shuttle service. If returning to the area, we would stay here again.

Very clean hotel. Bed really comfortable. Had mini kitchen with 2 burner cooktop and full set of dishes and cookware. Definitely unexpected. Already plan to use this hotel in the future!

The staff was super friendly and kind. Breakfast service was outstanding. There were several groups of unsupervised children that we could hear between 10:30pm-12:30am that kept us awake. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.

Loud equipment kicking on and off throughout stay made sleeping near impossible. Ice machine, toilets, garbage disposal, AC units need attention. Bottom line: RIDICULOUSLY NOISY.

Nice room. And amenities close to where we needed to be and places of interest
