博爾嘎內斯飯店(Hotel Borgarnes)

Stayed here for one night as part of a 2 day tour, nice clean room, comfy bed, good shower, good continental breakfast, super speedy check in process, good base to have a wander around Borgarnes, some interesting things in the area for photo opportunities :) Great stay with no issues. Thanks!

This hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. The double room was a bit outdated but perfectly fine, a good size and clean. The bathroom was small and had a strange shower with concertina doors that did not work well and could lead to a very wet floor. As a solo traveler though, it was all fine. The dinner in the restaurant was just okay, not bad but not wonderful either. Breakfast was in a HUGE room with large circular tables, quite unusual. However the breakfast spread was very limited and uninspiring with no hot food at all.

Hotel au décor des années 90, avec un côté chic désuet. Literie de bonne qualité. Liminaire au dessus du lit, qui gene pour lire au lit. Salle de bain, petite, comme beaucoup en Islande, avec, une fois de plus, rien pour poser ses affaires. Petit déjeuner, simple, correct.

Hotel molto confortevole e pulito. Camera silenziosa e con possibilità di oscurarla totalmente. Bagno piccolo ma disposto molto bene. Spazi ampi sia in camera che negli spazi comuni. Colazione nella media

The town itself is quaint but small. The hotel was a throw back to the 60s and has had very little done to update it. It has a small bar and an outdated restaurant the size of a ballroom. Would be great as a film set in an 60s themed film. The bedroom was clean and in furnished in the same genre. The evening meal and buffet breakfast was first class and it's well worth a visit just for the food.

We stayed here as part of a group tour. Pros: We saw northern light near the sea - short walk down from the hotel The fish & molten chocolate cake served in the restaurant for dinner is delicious! The room is clean Cons: The room look like it’s back in the 70s or 80s decor You have to collect extra shampoo / body wash from the reception yourself as I believe they are short handed. The same person who served us at the reception also served at the restaurant during dinner. We were allocated room with window that faced a carpark and is unable to get one with better view cause they are full.

A room below ground level with street level windows looking in from 2 sides. No fridge, no kettle, grumpy man at reception. Make sure your room isnt 109 (circled in pic)! We were part of a group tour so didnt have much choice, but seriously would have liked to have just left and paid for somewhere else.

Os quartos são um pouco pequenos e não muito novos, mas estão bem conservados e são confortáveis. O banheiro não tinha um boxe fechado (só aquela meia divisória), o que significa que ficava todo molhado após o banho. O café da manhã é um pouco fraco, poderia ter um pouco mais de variedade.
