As you walk into the lobby, it feels quite grand, luxurious, and inviting all at the same time. The check-in process was quick and easy, no frills, no questions asked about room preferences, just submit the credit card for deposit and here is your room number.
As we got to Room 113 as assigned, it was so stuffy and warm, we turned on the AC right away, automatic response. However, it had an error code and we could not adjust the temp or anything. Unfortunately, this was during a warmer weekend about 87 degree F. Our comfort level is about 76. We did not settle in. We left right away to the front desk asking for a different room where the AC works.
It took forever because apparently, another guest in front of us also had the same issue. They were not able to accommodate her to a different room and said that she has a few hours to decide to not spend the night or deal with it.
It was our turn, we stepped up and shared the same concern as the guest in front of us who was turned away.
Luckily, they were able to find another room in the computer system for us. They got us switched after more than 15 minutes of waiting and negotiating.
We got to the room and boy was it surprising. The bed sheets for both queen beds were never changed from the previous guests who stayed in that room. Food crumbs were on the inside, hairs were all over from top to bottom. The carpet was not vacuumed. We walked on crumbs and dirt. Of course we had to wear our shoes.
