德文飯店(Hotel Devin)

Top Lage im Zentrum, saubere Zimmer. Gutes Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis.

This hotel is in a great location - directly next to the river, one of the main bus stations right round the corner and right on the edge of the Old Town. The staff throughout are all very friendly and welcoming and it does feel like a traditional European five-star property. I had booked a single room and while the bed was a large single and comfortable, it was annoying everything else in the room took the ‘single’ approach to the extreme - one sachet of coffee, one mug, one bottle of shower gel etc. The mini bar was stocked though and everything else in the room decent. The TV was large and had a good number of English language channels, electric sockets next to the bed, it was quiet with decent views and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I couldn’t get the wifi to work but with the good mobile coverage coped fine without. The bar on the ground floor is a nice retreat, open very late and with a full range of drink options. It does permit smoking but it isn’t overly bothersome and it’s got a really traditional a**osphere with great staff. I didn’t get a chance to sample the restaurant but if the outdoor terrace had have been open that would offer a good place to watch the world go by. Overall it’s a decent option if you want to stay somewhere located in best spot and I’d happily pick it again.

Personale in ristorante e breakfast terribile , la sera per cena ci rechiamo nel ristorante 20 min prima della chiusura ( 22pm ) ed una cameriere arrogante e molto poco gentile ci dice che ormai la cucina era chiusa e che in tutto hotel non c’era alcuna possibilità di mangiare neppure un toast e che in Slovacchia la gente cena alle 17 e che dovevamo pensarci prima tutto questo con un tono arrogante e presuntuoso . Allora siamo andati al bar per un drink e lì abbiamo trovato un bravissimo barman che ha capito la situazione e ci ha organizzato un sevizio in camera veramente buono con due panini e qualche drink . Un’altro problema simile lo abbiamo avuto per breakfast quando volevamo un room service del breakfast e ci viene detto che al telefono che se se volevamo scegliere cosa mangiare avremmo dovuto vestirci e scendere “come tutti i clienti “ con un tono pessimo arrogante presuntuoso e molto poco educato .. alla fine ci ha organizzato un breakfast addebitandoci 110€ due colazioni , incredibile punizione quando a punirci della neutra scelta di mangiare in camera .. poi ho risolto il problema in reception che ha capito che il cameriere aveva fatto un’eccessiva di arroganza .altro problema quando abbiamo prenotato dei massaggi che erano nella carta dei messaggi , ma il massaggiatore molto giovano ha detto che lui non sapeva farli perché al primo giorno di lavoro , proprio non capisco come la direzione di un hotel che ha una Spa non verifica prima se il personale conosce il lavoro che deve fare e come possa offrire dei servizi e farli fare ad un principiante che ha ammesso di non saperli fare e che avrebbe fatto un corso di formazione la settimana scorsa …

Έχω να πω πως το Devin είναι ένα πολυ καλό ξενοδοχείο η τοποθεσία εξαιρετική ότι καλύτερο επιλέξαμε δωμάτιο μ θεα το ποτάμι να το προτιμήσετε το βραδυ η θέα στο ufo είναι φανταστική!Καθαριοτητα👌πρωινό👌εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό!επισης πολυ κοντά στις πλατείες όπου εμείς ταξιδέψαμε Χριστούγεννα και σε μόλις λίγα λεπτά είμασταν στα πρώτα Chris**as market !

The room had an unpleasant musty smell. The furniture was looking tired and the room also was past its prime. I raised this issue with reception who smirked and acted like I was deluded with my concerns. I was moved to another room, which was not as bad as the first. I just accepted that I had made a bad mistake in selecting this hotel, and that i was only there one night. The breakfast was good however, and the pool downstairs was pleasant.

The hotel is run by crooks. We asked for a late checkout and were quoted 10 euros until 5 pm. Upon checking out we were informed the charge was 10 euros per hour which amounted to half the daily rate of 120 euros. The front desk clerk said her English was not so good but still insisted on the full 60 euros. We asked to speak to the manager and she too refused to compromise. They charged the full 60 euros to out credit card. The night before we stayed at the Radisson Blu Carlton. There is no comparison between the quality, elegance and service at these hotels even though they are the same price. or the Hotel Devin is more expensive! The room at the Devin felt like a motel in the USA while the Carlton felt like supreme luxury.
