We swim here once a week and have found it to be very private. The pool is clean, warm and has lovely changing facilities. The atmosphere is very calming and we find it good value for money at £25 for the hour, which is up to 4 people, but myself and my husband use alone. Excellent place to swim.

First time booking the swimming pool for me and the husband to use,I suffer with bad anxiety and fibromyalgia so I thought it would be lovely to have some time to help me relax without worrying about being with other people. The place smelt of damp as soon as you walked in,the water was green and it just didn’t look a nice place at all but we went in the water eventually,we didn’t like the idea of the cctv that was operating,we felt it should of been more private - not only that but there was an office situated the other side of the window that overlooked the pool and there was a women who kept coming in and out of her room and looking into us every time she went past the window and then with being in the pool for around only 15/20 mins an elderly chap came up to the window looking into us and then proceeded to open the door and started talking to us about leaving a review,I felt this could of been done afterwards (if he felt he really needed to do it) this made me feel very uncomfortable,I did not like the feeling we were constantly being watched whether in person or on a camera. We stayed for half an hour of our hour slot,got out,dried and dressed and then left. This was a very unpleasant and stressful situation for us and we unfortunately won’t be back again.

We checked in our room which is an extension on the back of a house As soon as we opened the door the smell of damp was evident , the walls had rising damp and the paint was peeling Damp spores can be dangerous so to put anyone person in that situation was poor. The door to the outside was also rotten in places and you could see through to outside Of course some may be ok with it but with the amount they charge you could find better accommodation for similar money. It was self check in, an email with instructions and your room number. Find your room, key on bed waiting for you. Breakfast is now continental, help yourself. No staff what so ever. Bread for toast, jams, yogurts, three types of cereal, orange juice, milk and water. Variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Fruit in a fruit bowl.

For the first time in my life I caused sufficient aural distress to the neighbouring room that they knocked the door to ask more to stop the noise. Paper-thin walls, supersensitive hearing or deafness on my part - I didn't think my mobile phone was that loud?? Whatever - nice location, a bit pretentious to call this a 'hall', but well presented, with a pool and spa if you're into such things. Good enough room for working in, poor DIY breakfast. Maybe my feelings would have been different if I was on hols., but I wouldn't;t choose to stay here again on business. Self service check in and no staff around at all was different!

We really enjoyed our stay, once we met the owners they were very welcoming. We were left to get on with breakfast, enjoyed swimming in the pool and there was a lovely garden that the children were encouraged to play in.

We hired out the swimming pool today for the first time for an hour and the pool was amazing it’s been well maintained the cleanliness of the whole pool area and changing area was great. Great service easy to book highly recommend the best place we’ve hired out. We will definitely be back to book again. Absolutely loved it the kids had a great time.

Private hired the pool with a friend for the first time this evening. Hadn’t really done much research into the pool other than it looked like what we were after for an evening swim. I am particularly fussy about swimming pools, I have a real issue with things being clean. This, for me, was disgusting. The pool is surrounded by carpet which was soaking wet, you have to take your shoes off before going in but clearly this rule isn’t followed by everyone as there was mud on the carpet. Socks got soaked and feet then got filthy. I didn’t dare go in the toilet bare foot as the floor looked disgusting. It had a very ‘cheesy’ smell and the water didn’t look particularly clean. We got in and swam anyway, the water was fairly warm so that was a plus. There was blood in the side of the pool I noticed about half way through our swim. Getting out and changed is a mission as there’s nothing to put clothes on apart from the wet floor without being in view of the cctv camera. I couldn’t wait to get home and shower as I smelt like cheese, no other way to describe it. Won’t be going back, there are better private hire pools in the area.

Booked this venue after cancelling swim lessons to teach our little ones privately as an ongoing weekly event. First visit it was unbearably cold and even worse in the changing / toilet facility . Tried again the following week and the adults decided not to swim as couldn’t bear the cold . Now looking for another venue , shame as it’s so close to home and would have been looking to book this weekly ongoing .
