What a noisy hotel, can hear the m1 trundling past, horrible service station food, was tired so wanted somewhere ti rest and to be honest would have had better sleep if pulled of on a lay by off the motorway

Good budget hotel. Receptionist was helpful, but housekeeping had forgotten to put any towels in the room. Useful location for getting into Nottingham.

If you need somewhere just to stop and rest, you can’t go wrong. The rooms are a bit dated but the beds are comfy and clean. If there’s a sign on reception saying “back in a min - call this number if it’s urgent” call the number or you’ll be waiting there for ages.

After flying back from Majorca to Luton we planned on driving back to Teesside at night. However the weather was bad and being so tired we felt it best to stop. We turned up at the locked door and phoned the number on the poster, a nice guy answered the phone and came and let us in. He then organised and checked the room for us and made sure that we got it at the best price. The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. We only slept and used the toilet and got straight back on the road early on the morning. So grateful we could get a room at short notice.

Me and my husband stayed here for a wedding and everything was fantastic. Even though the hotel is a bit run down and could do with a upgrade all the staff was lovely. The blonde chap on reception really helped us in the morning as our car broke down and we couldn’t leave but check out was 12 so he let us hang around in reception and even made us a hot drink. If we are ever over here again we will stay here.

Picture the scene: you’re fast asleep, enjoying a deep, soothing slumber and then…BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP…what the effing hell is that noise at 0555hrs on a SUNDAY? That’s the sound of an M&S lorry delivering to the services. This isn’t any lorry driver though, this is an M&S driver, so he makes AS MUCH NOISE AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. Did you plan on a lay-in? Tough… In an act of humanity, you decide to get up to make your partner a cuppa, after all, she has been woken up by the sound outside too. Turn on the bathroom light to get water for the kettle…remember to close your eyes when you turn the light in the bathroom on, strobe effects can cause seizures and this was a full-on rave. My eyes actually hurt afterwards. “BANG, CRASH, CLANG” No, not an episode of the much-loved 60s series of Batman…remember our friend, the M&S delivery driver? Yeah, he’s still at it like the Ebenezer Scrooge of Sunday lay-ins. This travelodge is cheaper than others in Nottingham. That much is true. It’s because you will not get a good night’s sleep. Do yourself a genuine favour, go stay in the city. It’ll cost more but a good sleep is priceless.

Very clean and pleasant Travelodge. The usual tea/coffe sugar milk and extra if you ask. Clean towels and bed linen. One point when refurbishing is to get rid of the carpets they are old fashioned and attract dirt especially on wet nights.

Bed so comfy Room spotless clean Staff so brilliantly friendly,it's like I had known them all for years! Can't recommend thus travelodge highly enough. One last thing,I was a premier inn fan,but travelodge, poached me!

Chose This hotel as it was the near the wedding venue. Friendly staff, fresh new carpet, clean rooms and lovely comfy bed! Ideal for an overnight stay or longer! Easy to get into the city centre too
