I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Elite World Grand Hotel, conveniently located on Basin Ekspres in Istanbul, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment of arrival, the warm and professional demeanor of the staff was notable, catering to every need and making guests feel genuinely welcomed. The rooms are a true highlight, exhibiting a harmonious blend of luxury and comfort, with plush bedding, state-of-the-art amenities, and breathtaking views of the vibrant city of Istanbul. The attention to detail was evident, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness and a keen eye for aesthetic elegance. The culinary offerings at the hotel are exceptional. Each dish I tried was a dance of flavors, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of Turkey while also offering a variety of international cuisines to suit every palate. Das Hotel stammt ursprünglich aus der sozialistischen Zeit Rumäniens und wurde - so gut es eben ging - auf ein 5-Stern Hotel upgegradet. Im Wesentichen ist das recht gut gelungen: technisch ist das Hotel am Letztstand, am Ambiente der Lobby müsste man noch etwas arbeiten. Die Zimmer entsprechen durchaus internationalem Sheraton-Standard, sowohl von der Größe als auch von der Einrichtung. Von den Zimmern in den oberen Stockwerken hat man einen guten Rundblick über die Stadt. Sehr einladend die Executive-Lounge im 17. Stockwerk, ab 17 h 30 wird dort eine Selektion kalter und warmer Speisen, sowie alkoholische Getränke, gereicht. Top ist auch das Frühstücksbuffet im 1. Stock. Relaxen kann man im großen Indoor-Pool. Hinter der Rezeption befindet sich eine kleine Bar mit sehr gutem Service. Wer möchte, kann historische Innenstadt fußläufig erreichen. Resumé: Kein wirkliches Luxus-Hotel, aber solide 4-Stern-Superior mit Wohlfühlfaktor. Selten dass man in so großen Häusern einen so guten Service findet. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

I booked at this property for some meetings in Bucharest recently having never traveled to Bucharest before. It was about a 20 min Uber ride from OTP airport. The physical property was in excellent shape and the light fixtures and touchscreen climate system were great. Based on my Marriott status I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite on the club floor (18). Everything was 5 star and the rate was about $125 a night! Club lounge was disappointing as there was no breakfast and evening selections were slim. The included breakfast buffet in the restaurant was amazing. Great service and they had anything you could think of from an American breakfast to European to anything else. Everyone I cam in contact with was very friendly and accommodating. Easy walk (about 15 mins) to Old Town. Metro station right around the corner. Will definitely consider this for my next stay.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times so it’s time to write a review. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Member, I feel that my status here is very well recognized. The room is always spacious, the staff extremely supportive and friendly. I like the lounge and the service provided. There are enough vegan option for breakfast, which is something I look for. This hotel is definately among my favourites in Bucharest!
