Lovely stay, we enjoyed very much, Ting the manager is really helpful and welcoming. My fur baby Bobbie had a really good time, just like home:)

The Madsen Retreat provides a quiet, comfortable room that is well appointed (kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, smart TV, fast wi-fi) and includes a continental breakfast that is served in your room. Ting offers a personal welcome and helps with your bags. Everything you could want from a B&B.

A warm welcome from Ting with useful info about where to eat. The ocean view room was just that. We were offered room service for our continental breakfast which was plentiful. Short walk to the seafront. I managed to leave my sunhat behind and Ting kindly agrred to post it on to friends in Perth, our last stop before we head back to London.

The perfect place to relax and recharge. The manager of this property is SO helpful and the property is homely and has everything you need.

Loved the property. Owner was fantastic with communication. Our only disappoin**ent was booking a spa suite and the spa having time of use restrictions of not being able to be used between 9pm and 9am. With a check out time of 10am we didn’t have time to even use it in the morning which wasnt the point of booking a spa suite in the first place.

Enjoyable and comfortable stay. Ting was a great host. Would recommend.

This was one of the most pleasant overnight stays I’ve had. Nothing to dislike about staying here.

Easy walking distance to esplanade walkway and eateries. Beautiful place to use as base for north coast travels

We enjoyed the stay very much. The reception is courteously friendly. The room is furnished with style and elegance and very clean. One of the highlights is the individual breakfast, which is brought to the room at the desired time - with announcement via SMS. The hostess provides lots of valuable information about Penguin and excursions in the surrounding area. A first-class address.
