Ensana Buxton Crescent

Friendly staff, decent breakfast, allows us to park front of hotel for loading and unloading. Some of the pools are closed due to out of service though.

Had a lovely stay at ensana buxton crescent. Spa facility is fantastic. Its nicely scented everywhere at the hotel. Breakfast is delicious, very high quality ingredients. The crescent room is spacious. For this price and the quality of food and facility, i doubt if you can find anything better than this in uk.

Beautiful hotel . Beautiful spa . Will return as local . Breakfast was lovely just needed nicer breads/danish and more choice on that section compared to elsewhere . Cooked to order breakfast was lovely and lot to choose from on the menu . Didn’t eat here this time as last time the menu choices was limited and not amazing food and it’s expensive to dine when there’s a lot nicer places in the town . Rooms are lovely , fridge in the rooms was great , tv , lovely bathroom . Love how there’s plenty of towels everywhere to use . Just a bit bizarre how when you have checked out of your room and can still use the spa you can’t use the locker facilities in the changing rooms but can change in them when there is absolutely loads of empty lockers and you cannot get in and out of the areas as your card for the hotel won’t let you and you can’t get a spa wrist band to use so you have to keep finding someone to let you in , very unusual for a spa hotel and just a bit bizarre when they are easy solved problems .

The hotel is beautiful, the restoration is exceptional and very much in keeping with how I imagine the original would have been. The spa is very well appointed and also retains some of the original features, we made good use of it during our stay. The staff were all great, every single one of them made us feel welcome and were friendly and helpful. A few downsides were as follows: Our room (106) was lovely, front facing, beautiful decor but with a really strong smell of drains in the bathroom, that despite the efforts of the housekeeping team, seemed impossible to shift. We were told by reception that this is a regular problem with a number of rooms. They really need to try and sort this out as it did impact our stay. We had breakfast both days of our stay. The continental offering was excellent, but the full English breakfast was disappointing and not particularly well cooked, (bacon and sausage were tough) apart from the excellent poached eggs. Also, no choice of bread, just packet slice loaves, which is unusual for a hotel of this quality. The other, very minor, point but nevertheless annoying was that it is not possible to get any radio stations on the TV. I would have expected this to be available. In summary, this is a lovely hotel and we really did enjoy our stay. With a little more attention to detail and some minor changes it will undoubtedly become excellent. We would stay there again.

Wow! What an incredible hotel and spa! I almost felt I was in a dream. Beautiful hotel interior and room was so elegant and spotlessly clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The spa was another level - so serene, clean and enough space to relax poolside or in the many pools and steam/sauna rooms. Breakfast was the best I’ve had regarding choices available from smoothies, pastries, cereals and extensive hot food menu too. We will certainly look forward to a return visit soon!!

From start to finish, our stay was perfect! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service from everyone was first class; nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, simply but tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Our dinner in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was plentiful. We enjoyed the excellent spa facilities. All in all a wonderful few days celebrating my husband's birthday which again the hotel made memorable with their thoughtfulness. Absolutely would go again! Excellent value for money and fabulous staff!

My whole experience was lovely. The pillows were fluffy, the bed was very comfortable. The facilities at the hotel were next to none. Everything you would expect and more, including a rooftop pool half in doors half out. The food was excellent, one of the best hotels I’ve been to. Staff couldn’t do enough, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel, and will be going back very soon.
