海洋點牧場飯店(Oceanpoint Ranch)

While I absolutely love the location and access to the beach, I gave this hotel a lower rating even though in the past I gave 5*. Staff was hard to find at front desk. Rooms are tiny if not in a cottage. Dark rooms w minimal lighting and place to sit. Only 1 chair, no space and only room for a weekend bag. Don’t plan to spend time here- no room. Great for romantic getaways.

A number of little problems, none of which by themselves would merit a terrible rating, but collectively reflects a lack of management attention: • bedding was not changed (i.e., I can see where someone lay on the bed and pillow) • switches for lights missing knobs so you can't turn them on • power outlets on light stands are not functional, so you can't charge your devices • walls are so thin you can hear conversations in other rooms word-for-word • a rock used for doorstop on lobby door was left in middle of sidewalk, which was hazardous in the dark •. heater did not work •. shower door did not close properly •. etc.

Had a great time with my family. You have to walk across the street for views which is no biggie but I don’t want you to think you have ocean views from the hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating and helpful. The restaurant was a little concerning. Many of the tables weren’t bussed and had leftover food on them while there weren’t open tables. Overall great location and facility.

My only issue is w the ridiculous claw foot bathtub in the middle of everything. Looks out of place next to the wonderful brand new shower and sink they crammed into the corner. Put a barn door between the room and the tub area to open up the space for dressing and for privacy in case you do want to use the tub. Also the water for the big grassy area came from our building (rm144) and it went on super early in the morning. Thought it was a neighbor showering but it went on for over an hour while we were still trying to sleep. Bed was super comfortable and shower was good. Those are the important things for me.
