5 mins walk from Cambridge Central Station and clean. Bar is filled with students daily.

Decent enough room, fixtures and fittings looking a bit tired and shower needs rerouting but was clean and warm. Pleasant staff. Great location for station and short walk into town although plenty of other bars and restaurants nearby. Decent good value breakfast and polite and helpful staff. Pub itself is an old fashioned local which is nice to see in this day and age although some of the characters in there at night are certainly interesting! Expensive for what it is really, although given what other hotels I'm central Cambridge charge I understand the pricing. If I needed somewhere to stay in Cambridge would happily go back.

The server had a very bad attitude. We came in with a 50% off code and were treated rudely when discussing whether or not it would work. I am server myself and know how to address people without coming across condensing. The glass I had my drink in was dirty and the straws were out in the open so anyone could touch them!! So unsanitary!!! Would never go back. Do not recommend. Furniture was old, broken and uncared for. Very disappointed

Room looked a bit worn. Road noise and late night revellers. Stained beds, thin towels. Not recommended unless you are one of the revellers and don’t want to drive home. Handy having parking on site but the car park is also open to pub customers so it’s not a guaranteed place.

Was looking for budget accommodation with parking whilst visiting Cambridge Universities with our daughter.Proper pub as I knew in the eighties nit a thing of beauty nor high end but a joy to behold.Very popular with local workmen it seems for their breakfasts, horse racing and football /rugby enthusiasts.Full english very reasonable at Pnds 7.5 .20 minute walk to market square so a good base to explore from and many restaurants nearby plus a convenience store next door.Landlord very helpful and let us to leave out vehicle parked there the day we checked out until late afternoon . Triple room in adjoining building basic but clean -it was warm so we needed to use a fan provided which unfortunately squeaked as it rotated.

I think this must be one of the best, if not THE best hotel/pub I've had the pleasure of staying in Fantastic staff, comfortable rooms, crackin' real ales, fantastic company, everyone friendly. Excellent food, good choice from cheap as chips to gourmet, can't fault the place
