Very good service and the owner was also helpful from day one. Great ocean view from the bar and decent menu too. Great a**osphere and we had a wonderful time. No complaints. Would come again.

This place is so lovely in every way. Will 100% stay again and recommend to everyone I know. It’s one of the best stays I’ve had in Southeast Asia. Really special and the staff and ownership are excellent aside from the amazing accommodations and property itself.

Im in love with the place. Literally! It's a perfect place to think and meditate and to be alone.

Das Tauch- Resort Balai Sa Baibai im Balinesischen Stil ist ein echtes Kleinod und wird wie auch die integrierte Tauchbasis Coraya Divers / Black Beach Divers von dem Schweizer/ deutschen Paar Alessandra und Roman mit viel Herzblut und Engagement sehr persönlich geführt. Wir haben dort 13 Tage verbracht und sind sowohl im Resort als auch beim Tauchen verwöhnt worden. Das Tauchen hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen und uns wegen der unberührten Unterwasserwelt an unsere erste Tauchreise auf die Philippinen in 2001 erinnert. Die Tauchplätze rund um Camiguin sind sehr unterschiedlich und bis auf die wegen der Tagestouristen etwas stärker von Schnorchlern frequentierte „Malediveninsel“ Mantique vielfach völlig unberührt, Die Fische und Krebse sind idR gegenüber Tauchern und Fotografen noch recht zutraulich. Zum Teil taucht man auf hellem Sand, zum Teil auf dunklen Sand, es gibt Steilwände aber auch unberührte Korallenfelder. Meistens waren wir zu zweit oder zu viert allein am Tauchplatz. Am Makro- Tauchplatz mit schwarzem Sand findet man eine Vielzahl von völlig unterschiedlichen Kreaturen, ähnlich wie in Indonesien/Sulawesi in der Lembeh Strait. Auch für Nachttauchgänge bietet sich dieser Platz an, da er nicht weit weg vom Ressort liegt und die Tiere nachts sehr aktiv sind. Der Sand lebt! Gesehen haben wir regelmäßig u.a. Blauring Oktopus, Ambon Scorpionfisch, Seeschlangen, sehr viele verschiedene Schnecken wie Shaun the sheep, auch als Ukraine-Shaun zu bewundern, verschiedenste Krebse und Garnelen in Groß und Klein, große und kleine Schildkröten, Babyfrogfisch plus „Eltern“ , Seepferd, Pygmeeseepferdchen, Barracuda, Anemonenfische, Rochen, jede Menge Hart- und Weichkorallen uvm. Vom Boot und vom Strand aus hatten wir auch einen Walhai und Delfine. Haie haben wir nicht gesichtet. Noch ist die Gegend taucherisch recht unbekannt, die meisten Taucher machen als sogenannte „Drei- Tages- Fliegen“ nur eine Stippvisite im Rahmen einer Philippinen- Rundreise and wissen gar nicht, was ihnen vor Ort entgeht Wir haben 30 Tauchgänge in 12 Tagen gemacht, davon 7 beim Makroplatz. Gern wären wir länger geblieben. Die Tauchbasis der Coraya Divers (ehemals Black Beach Divers) ist perfekt organisiert, die Gebäude sind neu und liegen zentral zwischen Restaurant und den Bungalows. Dusche und WC liegen optimal neben den Spülbecken. Also alles kurze Wege. Roman führt die Basis sehr persönlich und die internen Abläufe sind perfekt. Nach Möglichkeit teilt er die Gruppen nach Erfahrungsstufen ein. Die Guides und die Crew der beiden Boote sind sehr hilfsbereit. In der Regel gibt es morgens einen Two Tank dive, dann wird optional noch ein Nachmittagstauchgang angeboten und nach Absprache auch ein Nachttauchgang. Zusätzlich zu den beiden klassischen Bankas hat Roman jetzt noch ein Schlauchboot bestellt für Einzelausfahrten. Es geht nach Absprache auch die Möglichkeit von Landtauchgängen. We visited for breakfast, it was highly reccomended which is why the disappoin**ent was felt more keenly. The ambience, entrance to the place breathtaking. However the food was just awful. There was a power cut that day and I don't know if that was the reason for the chaos in the kitchen. It was slow to get food and then when you did the bacon was burnt, eggs overdone, juice not available. At 450 pesos a meal you expect quality and this was sorely lacking on this occasion. I was so upset by how terrible the food was I just wanted to leave and not argue. Thankfully I had a wonderful experience the next day going just out the road to Abang Eatery where we had full local meals and fresh watermelon, 4 meals for 400 pesos and the quality was on point. I hope the owner addresses this and knows that this review is not meant to be malicious rather a statement of the disappointing experience at her establishment.

While staying with friends on Camiguin Island, Philippines, we visited Balai sa Bai Bai (The House on the Beach) outside Mambajao for sunset drinks on their beachside viewing platform; followed by dinner in the charming open air dining room, set above calming water pools. It was delightful. We were met by the Swiss owners Alessandra and Roman who supervised everything throughout. The sunset was superb, and dinner and drinks excellent. As well as the hotel, their main business is scuba diving, which we didn’t do - but judging by the owner’s charm and attention to detail, and comments from resident guests who were dining, they are very good at that too. Highly recommended for a romantic stay.

Es ist unsere Lieblingsunterkunft auf den Philippinen. Das Resort in balinesischen Style ist wunderschön, grün, ästhetisch, ruhig, Idyllisch... wir lieben es!. Zusätzlich gibt es hier die Coraya Divers mit herausragenden Personal und top Ausrüstung. Roman - mit mehr als 5.000 Tauchgängen- schafft es auch den größten Angsthasen die Liebe fürs Tauchen und die Unterwasserwelt zur vermitteln. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wider.

If you love nature, you will enjoy Balai sa Baibai. The lawns are nice and relaxing to look at. The staff is awesome. They are friendly and can communicate well. The restaurant and bar are good but I wished they offered more fish in the menu!😉 it is unfortunate that the weather did not cooperate. It was rainy, however, we still enjoyed our stay.
