坎特伯雷飯店(Canterbury Hotel)

Nice hotel appx 10/15 minute walk to city centre. We were situated in a room in an added building to rear of hotel which was quiet as the main hotel is situated on a busy road. The room was clean but probably in need of a refurb. Buffet breakfast was very good and cannot fault friendliness and helpfulness of the staff

Good little hotel about 10/15 mins walk to the centre of Canterbury. Rooms a little tired but comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Didn’t use the pool or bar so can’t comment on those. Found room really cold but managed to get the radiator to work - but could still do with a bleed. Tv a little small for size of the room. Really not trying to moan as was all good and what we needed for a night away to wander the city.

Great weekend away in Canterbury, hotel was good value for money and genuine short 15 minute walk to the city centre. Lovely breakfast included and friendly staff. Room was lovely and spacious. My wife did request a hair dryer as there wasn’t one in our room and unfortunately there wasn’t one available but she managed. Would definitely stay again if we come back again.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Canterbury from arrival to departure. Very friendly and polite staff, always happy to assist in any way. Room 11 at the back, spacious, quiet and warm with a comfy bed, nice little swimming pool, great buffet breakfast, perhaps eggs to order would be nice, rather than just scrambled. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk into the city.

The staff and setting are nice enough. Unfortunately, the room they gave me for my 2-night stay had a mattress that sunk to the bottom of the bed as soon as you lie in it. As we didn’t expect to have to check the mattress, we only found out when we were going to bed closer to midnight. We felt we were too tired to complain and move rooms, so we ****** it up. We let the hotel know after our stay but they said “you should have let us know” and “we investigated an didn’t find a mattress like you described.” Fair enough, it’s my fault for not raising it with staff as it happened. But beware of this place. The second you enter the room, get on the bed and see if you can sleep comfortably on it before you unpack and go explore beautiful Canterbury.

Overall a good hotel. Efficient and friendly staff, easy walk to town, pleasant room ( on the ground floor as requested) Limited parking but we found a space. We would definitely stay here again.

An enjoyable stay at the hotel. Staff friendly, good sized rooms and good breakfast. Pool was a bonus.Good location - it is a 5min walk to the Cathedral and city centre. I'd recommend this hotel and stay again.
