凱恩飯店(Cairn Hotel)

Very comfortable, clean and most welcoming hotel . Great variety of food at all meal times . Spacious reception and bar lounge for quiet reading and relaxation . Attentive staff . Excellent location, near to Harrogate Spa Baths , Valley Gardens and Town Centre , also the famous Betty's tea rooms . Extremely good value !

Cairn Hotel: Front of hotel - outdoor seating right next to busy noisy road ..... Rear of Hotel - car park and broken appliances.. Staff nice and breakfast choices very good but room ... would not stay again.... Room floor sloping felt like falling out of bed! Furniture outdated in need of total refurbishment and definitely would not class as de-luxe .... Small room, dingy dirty curtains + many broken/worn out items (I think deluxe here means you have an ensuite) see photos..

On arrival for dinner (there being no reservations policy at the time), we were advised 20 to 30 minutes wait for food, but that was okay and so we ordered drinks to while the time away, sitting outside. We checked with staff after 25 minutes of waiting, their response was pretty abrupt, basically saying we would be informed when a table (inside) would be available. We gave up waiting after 50 minutes and went to the cafe along the road (where fortunately we had a lovely meal).

My husband and I were taking a friend for a short trip to Highlands. We didn't have high expectations, we just needed one night somewhere on our way north. Cairn hotel was conveniently located, reasonably priced and had a room combination we were looking for, so I booked it without even reading TripAdvisor. Needles to say the hotel turned out to be a lovely surprise! What blew us away was the food - the dinner in the hotel restaurant was one of the best dinners I ever had in a hotel. I had a pigeon for starter, which is not that common and it was ages since I had one, so I was excited they had it on the menu. It was delicious. The black pudding they serve alongside pigeon and for breakfast was amazing. Husband chose mussels for starter, which he really enjoyed as well. For mains our party had hake, steak pie and pork loin, all excellent and generous portions. The blueberry cheesecake for dessert was to die for! In fact it was so good, we asked for some more after breakfast :) The breakfast was beautifully cooked and the portion was adequate, we left full and satisfied, but managed to finish it with no waste (I feel like some places overdo it and you end up overeating). The staff are a credit to the hotel, everyone was so polite, friendly and smiling. The decor of the rooms is rather old-fashioned, but that didn't bother us. The rooms were immaculately clean. You wouldn't find a speck of mildew in the bathroom. The complementary shower gel smells lovely. We found the bed very comfortable. Tea, coffee and bottled water are provided. The location is very good, it's right in the middle of Carrbridge, 2 min walk from the bridge. Easy to find. Our room had a window facing the back of the building and the night was very quiet. We got up at 8am and could hear a rooster, which we enjoyed :) (it wasn't loud enough to wake us, but once we were up we could hear him). We found this hotel to be an excellent value for money and would definitely come back.

Als je op zoek bent naar een echte oude Schotse inn en pub, dan is dit de plek. Als je een modern luxueus hotel zoekt, dan is dit niet de plek. De kamer was aan de oude kant maar wat je zou verwachten. Alles kraakt maar doet het. De naastgelegen pub van het hotel is wel leuk en gezellig. Apart douche systeem ook dat ik nog niet eerder heb gezien. Maar functioneerde wel goed. Uitzonderlijk vriendelijk personeel en een lekker a la carte gemaakt ontbijtje.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel. Tout a été Très bien. Accueil, chambre, confort des lits. Très bon petit déjeuner avec un bon choix, et un service parfait.

Great place to start your exploration tour of the Highlands. Barkeeper Jamie was very friendly and let the bar open for us. Rooms are very cozy. Open fireplace invites you to spend your time in the Pub. You can relax and enjoy nature in this region perfectly. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

I wanted a Hotel close to River Findhorn and used the Cairn Hotel, very pleasant owner and chatted about fishing before sorting my room key. Food was very good & very clean room, tea, coffee and even a caramel wafer for snack. The bar staff very efficient and pour a beautiful Belhaven Best beer. Breakfast was excellent and special mention for Nora who was brilliant both behind bar and in mornings, breakfast service was top class……a professional and good credit to herself.

Another great lunch (3 years in a row whilst on holiday). Windswept beer on tap, along with our fave Cairngorm Stag. Burgers still great! Staff take the time to talk with you about beers, food etc. Good service. Fire roaring - welcome considering it was minus degrees outside
