查爾斯頓-快樂山希爾頓逸林飯店(DoubleTree by Hilton Charleston Mount Pleasant)

Check-in took over 20 minutes. The trainee did not know how to check us in, so we had to wait until the other receptionist was free to answer her questions. Even then, no one told us where the elevators were as we wandered in the wrong direction. We asked for two queen beds, but got one king-sized bed. The television didn't work, even after getting a second remote, so we had to move rooms. The air conditioner in the new room sounded like a washing machine the entire time we were there.

Everything we liked about this place is gone. No more free breakfast (which our kids loved). Broken down gym equipment. Someone spilled potato chips in the hallway our first night there and they were still there when we checked out two days later. This was our 6th time staying there in the last 4-5 years and likely our last. It’s gone downhill terribly.

Hotel is ok if the baseline is low budget cheap place to sleep. However, this hotel is rather pricey, and one would expect much more. Room: depressing design. Nice big TV though. Room Service? There is no room service, nobody ever cleaned it up (for three days). Third day I discovered a note in the bathroom saying that room service needs to be requested, however this is set up in a way that gives impression that the hotel prefers not to have it seen. If not, this arrangement should be mentioned at check in. Breakfast: Paper plates and plastic utensils? Give me a break! Fitness `center’: obviously rarely entered by staf, non-functional machines, and during my three days there nobody ever cleaned it up. Dirty towels piling up… Bottom line: mismanaged overpriced hotel. To be avoided, and based on this experience, I’ll avoid the whole chain from now on.

Room had bed bugs (large adult size- visible). Only gave us a refund for one room. Cut our trip short and we had to throw away some of our items, spending 4 hours doing laundry on the 2nd floor at 2 am. Not a fun trip. I'll spare you the bug bite photos but my boyfriend broke out from bites all over his body. One positive was greeting staff was kind upon check-in...

I put a fresh bar of white soap in the shower before bed and when I got in the next morning it had pink bacteria on it. The corners of the shower were also moldy. I’ve stayed in cleaner Super 8’s. Definitely not worth the money. Breakfast was also not $200/night caliber. Overcooked and looked like it was a day old.

Staff was great, they even gave my co-workers who weren't staying there with me cookies. I thought that was very kind of them. I would recommend this hotel to others. It would have been nice if the bar was open but understand that it was a Sunday evening.

stayed two nights when returned to hotel second day, room was not serviced, so went to front desk to complain and ask for more towels, but attendent was on the phone the whole time, didnt even appoligze ....just handed me the towels while still talking on phone, didnt sound like it was a business call, but personal..

Check in was terrible. The desk clerk barely communicated to us mumbling through her mask and behind a plexiglas screen. I had to ask her to repeat everything she said. And the way she pointed to the pens and handed me my ID and credit card led me to believe she felt I was carrying the plague. People that afraid of contracting COVID should not be in a customer service role. Also, the first room she gave us was occupied. She offered no apology. 9.0 Superb is far from the truth for this hotel.
