Utter shambles . Room initially seemed pleasing . Nice bed clean tidy well appointed. . We rested after a long drive till dinner time . Again dining area albeit like a estate pub restaurant was clean and tidy . Server unbeknown to us took our order wrong . Starters came were wrong returned correct ones brought ok mistakes happen then mains came mine was fine tasty and well presented. My partners also came she ate 2 forks of her vegetarian lasagne to discover it was a meat lasagne. A replacement was offered but my partner feeling nauseous refused it . We were offered a complimentary drink in the bar and no charge for dinner . This is where it goes from bad to shambolic. We were on a dinner inclusive package as a fact finding look for a hotel we could use as a frequent base as we needed one for a contract we had in Bicester for 12 months . We then retired to bed where a howling all night kept us awake (video available and left with reception on departure). We asked to be contacted and chased it on 3 occasions to no avail . Poor service badly trained staff non caring management indicators of a poorly run establishment. We have since found a delightful establishment 15 mins away and have given them the 43 bookings we would have given the Heyford " Hotel". More a badly run estate pub with howling corridors and a non caring management team.

Not greeted on arrival, no table service, pizza doing the breaststroke in oil!! Meals all came at different times, staff members standing around chatting, no sign of management, even basic drinks were incorrect. No offer of resolutions even when requested. Such a shame as lovely venue, with great entertainment, but sadly let down by food quality and poor and argumentative staff.

Was looking forward to enjoying a nice dinner out, however, I have been left bitterly disappointed by my experience and unless some of the service is changed I will not be returning. I really want this place to improve, it has some real potentials to be a lovely upmarket restaurant, however, the service needs to change. I ordered a starter of the pig sticks which do not require cooking, however, these arrived 45 minutes after ordering, for starters. These were nothing to write home about, they were just processed chorizo/salami sticks and there wasn’t many there for the price charged. We were not asked whether we had any allergies on our arrival. The waiter informed us the kitchen had forgotten about our starter order, and therefore our mains were sat going cold whilst the starter was prepared. For a main I ordered a chicken burger, requesting no sweet chilli and gherkins due to an allergy. This came out with both of the above, and I sat trying to get the attention of a waitress for about 15 minutes. When she handed our food she was very quick to walk away and didn’t offer any sauces. There was no check on how our meal was. It was very obvious that she didn’t want to be there, and had very little customer service skills, with her back being faced to the entrance leaning over the bar for the majority of my visit. When I eventually managed to get her attention, they swapped this and it was replaced with a cold meal with stale fries. Again, no check was completed on this meal. I feel bad for Laurence who seemed to be the only hard working member of staff there and I do not want this review to reflect on him badly, as the interactions we had with him were positive, but not the female waitress. Whilst she stood around leaning over the bar, he was running around doing his best to improve service. I feel like some major changes need to take place for the future of this restaurant. It is great having somewhere on the doorstep but when the service is so poor, I’d rather travel out of the village.

Stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. Booked through *********** paid 120.00 a night. Room was clean enough apart from the drinking glass by the side of the bed. Looked like it had spit in it. Reported to staff who said they would forward to cleaning staff. Breakfast was less than average. Took ages to come. And coffee was Luke warm. Checked out, got into our car when an email came through that the hotel had charged us an extra 30.00!!! After returning to reception we find that this is the charge for breakfast which is already included in the price. And that was also confirmed by the receptionist upon check in. SO PLEASE BE AWARE. Was advised a refund was done, even though they had no right to take the extra money in the first place I was told I had to wait 5 days for it to return to my bank. After 7 days, money was still not in so called them and it had not been actioned. After speaking with a manager she organised it and said she would call me back but got another member of staff to. I explained that I still needed to speak to the manager but still nothing 2 weeks later!! Would NOT recommend this hotel. It is well overpriced and nothing there for the money. be advised this is in the middle of a housing estate, I did not realise this when booking.

Visited the heyford as a break between Christmas and new years. Initially we were suprised that the hotel is in the middle of a housing estate? From the marketing we’d seen online we had high expectations but on arrival the place reeked of chip grease not the best start. The rooms looked nice and they were spacious but the air con wouldn’t go any lower than 19 degrees and there was no windows only a door which we weren’t going to leave open during the night, basically the room was boiling or freezing. We paid extra for a room with a balcony and the chairs were really unkempt and you couldn’t even see anything from the balcony just the back of a building. Then came sleep. The pillows were literally flat as paper. Me and my husband actually resorted in using the decorative pillows for the first night and needed 3 each to make 1 of our regular pillows, just weird. Overall our stay was very underwhelming considering we paid a lot of money for 3 nights and went home after 2 nights as we’d barely slept.

Good new hotel with very clean facilities and onsite restaurant. Modern new rooms and convenient location for Blenheim Palace. Small items in room to fix - toilet seat broken and sink slow to empty with drainage smell. Main issue was the breakfast - full English all items under cooked looked good ingredients but rushed. My wife’s omelette was good but the teas arrived luke warm requested another but still waiting. Very friendly staff but only 2 waiting on all tables with what looks like only 1 chef in the kitchen. Continental breakfast was very minimal and very little choice. In short, fix some small room items but based on the breakfast not worth the money nor the high customer rating.

Brand new ,clean, friendly place. Deals on food in the bar ...2 for 1 pizza

nice hote.a bit remote,but good for cotswolds attractions etc.very clean,lovely food,very good breakfast,staff were very attentive and pleasant.
