Great and recommend

We didn’t check-in due to the death and funeral of a friend. The property had a total lack of empathy or sympathy and wouldn’t move the booking by 1 day, despite both indirect and direct approaches. We had booked on a no cancellation/amendment basis (for full disclosure) but believe the property could have done so much better.

The hotel is standard; at best, it is a 2 to 3 star hotel so keep expectations at a bare minimum. Rooms are very basic as well as seeming tired and in need of attention. There is not even drinking water provided (chargeable) and the television is tiny, old and has very limited channels (and no radio!). Staff were variable, however some were extremely rude and unapproachable. As somebody who spends a lot of time in hotels, this is the worst 4 star I have ever stayed in. If you are paying very little and just need a bed, this is fine. But if at the cost I paid you are looking for something nice, or booking for a special occasion, stay away and book elsewhere.

Hotel was very clean. All of the staff were very polite and accommodating. Food was excellent. Bar staff friendly and chatty. The only one negative is paying £10 extra to park their in their own carpark. Odd Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay in the hotel. Fabulous facilities, lovely friendly polite staff, especially the ladies at breakfast who were so kind with the children. Our room was superb, so clean, it was a luxurious stay.

Lovely stay, friendly staff, clean comfy room, only thing there was no free bottles of water, had a pay for tray which included pay for water.
