南安普敦西普瑞米爾飯店(Southampton West)

We stayed 2 nights over the Bank Holiday in August purely to visit Paultons Park. The location is ideal,a few minutes down the road. The room itself was OK but needed to be cleaned a bit better. There was still talc left on the bathroom floor from the previous guest. It was nice and quiet in the evening, the beds where comfy. A cot was provided for our baby. The breakfast was a bit of a shambles, not enough tables and it was in a room as opposed to a restaurant. There wasn't as much choice as advertised on the menu and compared to the other Premier inns we stayed in. I wouldn't have booked breakfast here had we have known. They run out of space, although we booked in advance. There wasn't enough staff in the room and the 2 ladies working where under a lot of pressure. Reception staff lovely and very good with the children. I would recommend staying for location but that would be all.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Premier Inn Southampton West for our yearly visit to Paultons Park. The hotel is ideally located if you are visiting the theme park, it’s only around a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. The hotel is fine, it’s in a great location but it is now showing its age and in need of a major refurbishment. We stayed here last year, and I’m not sure whether we just got unlucky with our room this time, but we booked a family room, same as we did previously, and for some reason, the hotel has refitted the bathrooms (Not refurbished as they look worse than they did before), with a walk in shower and taken out the baths. I can’t for the life of me understand why, as this is a huge downgrade especially if you have little ones who want a bath after a busy day at the park. Fair enough if you wanted to do this for disabled rooms, or single / double rooms, but family rooms should have been left with the shower / bath tub combo. The new bathroom design felt very cheap, and not at all what you would expect from a Premier Inn, more like a cheap hostel style bathroom with a tiny sink in the corner, poorly painted (splashes of paint on the floor), toilet half hanging off the wall and not fitted properly, and generally just had a very grubby feel to it. Whoever made the decision to change the bathrooms to this design needs sacked in my opinion. Very poor. The rest of the room was as expected with a Premier Inn, only the bathroom we had issues with. As many of the reviews have stated there is no air con in the hotel and it does get very warm especially in the summer, but they do provide you with a fan, can’t really complain about that, really good service. We only had breakfast in the hotel once, it was ok, nothing special, we went to the pub next door the second day for breakfast which was a lot better and cheaper! I would recommend this over the hotel breakfast. Would we stay here again? Yes, unless Paultons invest in building a hotel on site, we will always return to this hotel due to its location, however some major improvements are needed as it does seem to be showing its age now, and not up to the standard of other Premier Inns which is a great shame.

Good points are, easy to find, very quiet and room was spotlessley clean. Reception staff very nice and welcoming. Comfortable beds and line and nice shower with good water pressure. Basic ammeneties in bathroom. Hairdrier in room. USB charger outlet in room. Nice towels. Bad points-very basic room, no drawers space or wardrobe just a place to hang stuff up. Not even a basic box of tissues. Exit to car park has a huge unsitely pot hole that looks dredful and does the Premier Inn brand no favours. TV has basic freeview but is very slow to change channels (upwards of 5 to 10 seconds) basic wifi very slow and patchy.

Booked this place as it was a decent price & ideal for our onward plans However from where reception was it was a good a 3 minute walk to our room the hole place is like one long corridor with doors off either side leading to stairs for floor above bit of hike each time of you need to go out for something Restaurant is only open for breakfast no evening meals so either drive to find somewhere to eat or hope the Pub next door has a table free for you as it is not part of the hotel If I had of known this I wouldn’t of booked this hotel

That reception staff were really friendly and a pleasure to see each time we arrived and left the hotel. I don't recommend this hotel during the hot months as it has no air con and no air flow into the rooms making for a very uncomfortable night's sleep especially if staying with little ones for Peppa Pig World! Slightly disappointed at not being able to have poached eggs for breakfast when they're on the menu but having a breakfast room rather than restaurant was a pleasant change. Even with all the young families wanting breakfast at similar times in August we didn't have to wait for a table to be free. Hotel rooms were clean and as expected.

We arrived at the Premier Inn Southampton West for work the staff Sharan & Shannon are very welcoming on arrival which is nice after a long day. The rooms are clean and fresh & even though they didn’t have air conditioning they did provide us with fans for the rooms. I’d happily stay here again.

We have stayed in several Premier Inns over the years but I have to say this is the only 1 with very disappointing food. The pub next door was super friendly and the staff were great but the food was like Iceland microwave food (nothing against that if I’m paying Iceland prices) but all was eaten and there was no point in moaning so we ate it and left. Breakfast however was another thing, to be told they had run out of bacon and mushrooms was disappointing to say the least, the way this was said was so matter of fact the chef didn’t seem to care. Poor show Premier Inn. Also there was no service as it was all self service, which was fine if you’re told where things are several guests has trouble finding the butter and margarine and the yogurt was frozen for one customer!

Wow I have to say this premier inn was the best me and my mum had ever stayed at. The room it’s self was spotless from top to bottom, the cleanliness was 10/10 the bed was lovely the pillows amazing, the breakfast again 10/10. This hotel is run to perfection. Most of all what was the most amazing was the kindness of the amazing team of staff that work for this premier inn. Sharan, Kered and Gareth are an asset to this company. They accommodated me and my mum who are going through a very hard time in life at the moment they went above and beyond to help us in any way they possibly could. We will never forget these people and we will definitely at some point return in the future.
