科爾斯登莊園和高爾夫俱樂部(Coulsdon Manor Hotel and Golf Club)

A lovely place to stay, from the welcome by Sandra & Sharon to the friendliness of Joseph & Mike the barmen, top hotel.

Waited 10minutes at check in desk, was not acknowledged or thanked for waiting. Was given a key with the room number on and given vague directions to room and told it was like a maze, after trying to find my room I had to go back to reception to ask for help, my room was not a number but it was a name!! That information would have been helpful at the start!! There was a small step just through the doorway near my room which I fell down, no hazard tape on step or sign warning of step! Walls are very thin, the person in the room next to me was snoring and it was so loud it sounded like he was in the room with me! I think the headboards might be on the same wall either side! Big splodge of dried paint on bathroom floor, flaking paint, damp marks, not sure how it’s 4 star would say more 3 star! On check out I handed the key over and all the woman said was ‘thanks that’s it’ didn’t ask me how my stay was! Breakfast constantly running out of items, lots of people having to ask for more stuff and waiting around!

Property was well situated for our purposes - staff were helpful. There was a wedding on so it was busy and a bit noisy on the night but hey, it's a wedding! Parking was OK but a lot of golfers coming and going - many cannot park straight to save their lives and we saw one van scraping a car so we were very selective where we left our car! Food was Ok, bar was Ok - rooms were functional but decor andf bathroom was dated - beds comfy! All in all - served our purpose.

I am in disarray to how this hotel has achieved 4 star status?! Room had several repairs needed and air vents were full of dust. Food was awful, stale dry and overcooked brioche, orange segments when clearly stated orange compote, cheddar cheese on pizza (no mozerella) and mango chutney served with cheese and biscuits??? When bought to receptionist's attention upon departure no apologies were given just that they would let the chef know. Overall a very disappointing stay and will not be staying again.

This hotel is very dated. The shower is very slow more like a drizzle, the USB ports in the room did not work, poor lighting, very hot room. We did change rooms as the first room was very noisy and hot. The second was just as hot but did not have the noise issue. The bath did not have a plug so unable to take a bath. Poor lighting from car park to entrance.

Beautiful grounds and location. Breath taking landscapes from most of the bedroom windows of 140 acres of uninterrupted grounds and only a few miles away from Croydon! It's a REAL gem to wake up in this place. Upper rooms (3rd floor) were very hot although a fan was provided. Food also very good and not too pricey. Happy staff all round which frankly makes a change these days/

Air compressor running every 10 minutes 24/7 , Then at 5.30 am the hotels ventilation system kicks in which sounded and felt like it was in the room next to me , Anx based on my experience i wouldnt stsy there again

Room was OK, clean enough, breakfast quite good. Would have stayed here again, however Saturday night disco was directly below our room so unable to sleep until after midnight when it ended. Why they cannot put the wedding guests in the most affected rooms I do not know.
