A wonderful plantation house to visit (privately owned and filled with stories) and a great inn to stay in as well. A tip - make sure to make dinner reservations when you book as there are two restaurants on site and they get booked up. One is fine dining in the old French part of the house and the other is in a beautiful room called the Carriage House.

Nous avons adoré passer la nuit à Houmas dans un cadre féerique au cœur des magnifiques jardins illuminés la nuit mais aussi merveilleux le matin. Nous avons dîné dans un superbe cadre au Carriage restaurant. Une halte parfaite seul bémol la proximité de la route.

Vraiment unique, chambre, mobilier, situation (parc, plantation ..).
Personnel très serviable.
Bon restaurant dans un cadre unique.
Excellent petit-déjeuner.
Évitez les logements A et B trop pres de la route, bruyant et aucun charme pour utiliser les berceuses.

Beaucoup de charme. Emplacement à proximité de la plantation où on peut profiter des jardins une fois que la majorité des touristes sont repartis. Excellent restaurant dans la plantation également

I LOVE HOUMAS house it’s so beautiful & breathtaking the staff & tourist are so FRIENDLY !!!! Plus the Food is DELICIOUS, free Breakfast was awesome the BEST !!! Then the carriage house was & always is DELICIOUS & FANCY !!! The Boutique or Gift Shop has the MOST UNIQUE & amazing gifts plus the WAX MUSEUM is INCREDIBLE & VERY INTERESTING the history is the most informative & enjoyable stuff to read about & also look at we loved OUR stay & we will DEFINITELY GO BACK & STAY again !!!

Loved the room. The only problem is that our room was right next to the road. Traffic started at 5 am. It is their cheapest room but to much money for the noise so early in the morning.

grounds are beautiful. The staff are very helpful, and the history is amazing.
I did not like the fact that they seem to have erased the fact of servants and slaves on the plantation.
