奧菲斯飯店(Hotel Orfeas)

When I arrived to check in at the scheduled time there was no-one around, and a cleaning lady I found attempted to check me in, until she told me they didn’t have my booking on file. Lucky they had one more room available. The room was dated, with a bed that felt like I was sleeping on a board. Got none. On the plus side, the owner is a nice old fella and the view is rad.

Hotel basico,sin demasiadas pretensiones. Habitacion y baño limpios,con un balconcito con buenas vistas. El propietario muy majo,nos explico muchas cosas y el desayuno basico,pero rico...no se puede pedir mucho mas por el precio que pagamos,sin duda una buena opcion!!

Les plus : + Bonne literie ferme comme nous aimons + Le monsieur à la réception à notre arrivé qui parle quelques mots de français + Grande surface de notre chambre + Situé dans la ville près des restaurants et des sites à visiter accessibles à pieds Les moins : - Nous avions demandé une chambre avec vue sur la vallée par mails depuis 3 mois lors de la réservation, mais on nous a attribué une chambre donnant sur la rue sans aucune explication ... nous y sommes restés 3 jours et nous avons regretté d'avoir choisi cet hôtel - Propreté très douteuse du sol dans les coins et de la table était "collante". - Service inexistant: le ménage n'a pas été fait durant les 3 jours de notre séjour et la poubelle ( entre autre celle des WC ! ) n'a pas été vidée .. la femme de service m'a dit d'aller jeter moi même la poubelle dans des containers au bout de la rue !! - Le petit déjeuner, bien que copieux , était d'une piètre qualité : des produits industriels infectes, le café en poudre instantanée, le jus d'orange chimique Conclusion: Nous déconseillons vivement cette établissement, bien qu'il soit conseillé par le Guide du Routard !

Hotel vecchio stile, arredamento un pò datato ma tutto sommato gradevole, gestori gentili, prezzo economico..l'ideale per una notte di passaggio. Colazione buona servita al tavolo dolce e salata, ottimo lo yogurt greco con salsa all'amarena. Avevamo la stanza al piano interrato che affacciava sul giardinetto, con aria condizionata e frigo, il bagno era veramente vecchio e rovinato e soprattutto la tenda della doccia presentava evidenti segni di muffa. Trovare parcheggio nei pressi dell'hotel è un pò un problema, come nelle vie del paese del resto, strette e a senso unico, bisogna girare un pò! Se si ha voglia di camminare si può andare al sito archeologico direttamente a piedi.

Για 15€ την βραδιά δεν περιμέναμε πολλά, αλλά όχι κ έτσι. Εκτός της άθλιας κατάστασης του δωματίου (για το οποίο θα παραθέσω φωτογραφίες παρακάτω) οι κύριοι της υποδοχής που μας υποδέχτηκαν ήταν τουλάχιστον απαράδεκτοι. Όταν πρώτο μπήκαμε η κυρία Πανωραία μας μιλούσε με νεύρα, απότομα και κοφτά και μας οδήγησε στο δωμάτιο μας. Στη συνέχεια ενώ μας είχαν δώσει τηλεκοντρόλ για το κλιματιστικό εμείς κάνοντας ένα ανθρώπινο λάθος δεν το προσέξαμε και ανέβηκα στην υποδοχή για να το ζητήσω. Ο κύριος που με εξυπηρέτησε επέμεινε ότι μας ειχαν δωσει τηλεκοντρόλ και φώναξε την κυρία Πανωραία να μου το επιβεβαιώσει, η οποια ξεκίνησε κυριολεκτικά να φωνάζει αυτολεξεί «ΜΗ ΜΟΥ ΖΗΤΑΤΕ ΝΑ ΗΡΕΜΗΣΩ ΕΣΕΙΣ ΝΑ ΣΥΓΚΕΝΤΡΩΘΕΙΤΕ». Έπειτα ο κύριος, αντί να της ζητήσει να σταματήσει να φωνάζει στην πελάτισσα, άρχισε να την υπερασπίζεται απευθυνόμενος σε εμένα «μα πως είναι δυνατόν να μη θυμάστε ότι σας δόθηκε τηλεκοντρόλ». Εγκατέλειψα αυτή την τουλάχιστον παιδική διαφωνία και γύρισα στο δωμάτιο.

Alors, oui les chambres ressemblent à des chambres espagnoles des années 80. Mais la notre est spacieuse, propre, dispose même d'un frigo (et d'une sonnette dans la douche, on n'a pas compris ^^) et nous avons eu un très bon accueil (du patron ? 75 ans au moins) malgré notre arrivée très tardive. Le petit-déjeuner est complet et copieux (le jus d'orange est bien entendu dégueulasse mais on est en Grèce, on a malheureusement l'habitude) et les olives sont trop salées. Mais on a sur la table un véritable brunch (boissons chaudes, jus d'orange donc, pain, quatre quarts au citron, biscuits, beurre, confitures, "jambon" (reconstitué), fromage, oeufs durs, et manquant sur la photo : fromage blanc et cerises confites au sirop. Rien n'est extraordinaire si ce n'est qu'on a payé 28.50 à deux, petits-déjeuners compris. Et franchement, on n'en attendait pas autant pour le prix. Efkaristo poli !

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Owner is an aggressive bully! We booked a double room with a balcony and view and were put in the basement. When we asked the son to change rooms he said to wait for his father who then told us that everyone from the UK has a problem with this room and that English people are crazy. When explaining what we’d booked he kept telling us to stop talking. I had used the toilet and apologised for that but we’d been on a coach for 3 hours and were desperate. However, I feel it doesn’t take long to quickly clean a toilet and it didn’t warrant the verbal abuse I received - especially when the room we were placed in wasn’t what was advertised. I had to keep telling him that there’s no point shouting and let’s talk calmly. We were shown two more rooms, one with a view of the street and one with a gorgeous view (twin bed but no issue for us). However, we decided not to stay as we felt very uncomfortable due to how we were spoken to. When we returned to the front desk and explained we weren’t staying and wanted to get our bags from the original room the owner aggressively snatched the keys out of my hands (pulling my hands also). My boyfriend stepped in front to protect me to which the owner threw himself at my boyfriend with an aggressive gesture - his son had to hold him back. Then after a lot of him telling us to take the third room and us saying no the son took us to get our bags. Then we spent ages trying to get a refund and luckily the son was a little more helpful and checked their accounts and rang *********** so we got our refund. All the while the owner was either telling us to take the third room or glaring at us. The son seemed embarrassed and caught in the middle of wanting to help us but had his father ordering him around. This was a very upsetting experience for us but luckily we left with our money. We then tried Epic Rooms and were greeted by a lovely older lady who was kind and funny. Our view was amazing and we were so glad we left Orfeas and went to Epic (and it wasn’t much more expensive).

Great family friendly hotel very reasonable price. The owner was very helpful with advice directions and good will. Breakfast was very Greek but substantial. The hotel is situated with easy walking distance of main attractions. It’s a very easy walk to the archeological site and museum.
