LVIS布蘭庫拉飯店(Lvis Blancura Hotel)

Small boutique hotel right by the bikini beach. Location is marvelous as you are 20m away from a beautiful beach and blue sea. Of course you do not find the endless open buffet tables you find in 5-6 star resorts but you aren't leaving the dining area feeling hungry. They arrange tours out to the reefs and diving spots at reasonable prices. The staff is very helpful sincere.

Siamo stati per due sere a cena presso il ristorante del Luis Blancura hotel. Il prezzo è di $ 15,00 a persona per un buffet ricco con varie portate a base di verdure, pollo, l'immncabile tonno, pasta, noodles, riso, zuppe, beef, acqua, succo, dolce ( alquanto misero), caffè. il personale è cortese, anche se la presenza continua per soddisfare ogni richiesta può risultare eccessiva. Grossolana anche la richiesta di pagamento del contomentre si è ancora al tavolo.

Partiremo domattina per ritornare a casa e già ci rendiamo conto di quanto sarà dura ricominciare la vita quotidiana dopo aver trascorso dieci giorni in paradiso. Questa guest house è favolosa,semplice ma ben curata nei minimi particolari,gestita da uno staff sempre pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi tua richiesta con una gentilezza che ti fa intenerire.Immersa in un giardino ben tenuto che offre ombra per le ore più calde ,escursioni altrettanto super bene organizzate da un gruppo super affiatato e in assoluta sicurezza con la possibilità di fare snorkeling in luoghi dove c'è più possibilità di avvistare tartarughe,delfini,squali....Il tutto accompagnato da Pic nic sulla spiaggia e doppia merenda. Ringraziamo Maldive alternative per averci dato la possibilità di fare questa esperienza in un' isola abitata dove la semplicità e la calma regnano sovrane.

Siamo appena tornati da un soggiorno in questa guest house, per il tramite di Maldive Alternative, totalmente estasiati. Il luogo è incantevole, immerso in un giardino tropicale profumatissimo e affacciato su una baia mozzafiato. Noi avevamo la camera sulla spiaggia, spartana ma pulita. Cibo ottimo, leggero, gustoso e abbondante. I ragazzi della guest house sono dei tesori unici: la gentilezza e accoglienza di Sumesh e Birah ci hanno scaldato il cuore. E poi c'è il capitolo escursioni quotidiane, incredibili!!! Lisham ed il suo equipaggio ci portavano tutti i giorni su tratti di barriera corallina in cui abbiamo visto mille pesci e tartarughe e a seguire su isole deserte stupende in cui venivano allestiti deliziosi pic nic all'ombra di capannine e ripari all'ombra. Una vacanza meravigliosa ed emozionante: mi sono chiesta cosa vada a fare tanta gente nei resort di lusso quando si può vivere un'esperienza simile.

Siamo tornati al Blancura dopo l'esperienza bellissima dello scorso anno. Anche quest'anno non hanno tradito le nostre aspettative. Ci hanno coccolati per una settimana, escursioni bellissime, staff sempre disponibile e sorridente.

Non avendo molto tempo a disposizione io e la mia compagna decidiamo di affidarci a maldive alternative per trascorrere una settimana a ridosso di capodanno alle maldive. Ci vengono proposte le due isole rimanenti con relative escursioni e pasti compresi. Decidiamo cosi di andare a Dharavandoo, spinti anche dalle numerose recensioni positive della guest house Lvis Blankura. La prima nota negativa è che una volta arrivati sull 'isola ci portano al Lvis Village,struttura che a differenza del Lvis  Blankura non si trova fronte spiaggia bensì a 150 metri dalla spiaggia.Il problema non è stato percorrere 150 metri per andare in spiaggia ma la mancanza di chiarezza.Ripeto e ribadisco che il Lvis Village non era mai stato nominato dallo staff di Maldive Alternative.Di sicuro se me lo avessero detto avrei valutato in modo diverso se andare a Dhravandoo o cambiare isola. Ma la cosa veramente negativa è stata l'organizzazione da parte dello staff per le promesse escursioni giornaliere dalle 9:30 alle 15:00.Ammetto che il tempo non sia stato clemente durante la settimana trascorsa ma escluso un giorno di allerta meteo (gialla), delle escursioni promesse siamo usciti 2 giorni per circa 3 ore ad escursione e due volte per una giornata intera. La motivazione è stata che non siamo usciti per la nostra sicurezza ma io aggiungerei che non siamo usciti per la mancanza di una barca di proprietà dello staff in grado di portarci fuori. Tanto è vero che dopo aver fatto notare il nostro malumore si sono organizzati con delle barche piu prestanti in grado di farci fare qualche escursione. Ovviamente nessuno si è fatto avanti per offrire una parvenza di rimborso per delle escursioni gia pagate in precendenza. Per la cronaca abbiamo mangiato a terra sulle isole deserte e non seduti a quelle belle tavolate come vengono mostrate in foto. Chiudo descrivendo l'imbarazzante organizzazione per tornare a Malè.Prima ci dicono che saremo partiti in barca e idrovolante, poi ci  annunciano di anticipare la partenza,poi ci cancellano la partenza. A quel punto chiamo il riferente in Italia dato che il tempo passava e nessuno ci dava certezze su quando saremo partiti e la prima risposta è stata: ma lo sai che qui sono le 6:30 del mattino? Lo sapevo perfettamente ma a mio avviso era una situazione urgente da risolvere quanto prima e volevo capire se avessimo perso il volo come ci saremmo dovuti comportare. P.s.Lo staff del Blankura è stato molto carino e disponibile,nulla da ridire sul personale.

Having been travelling to the Maldives for the past 28 years this was our first "guesthouse" experience. We stayed in a village room a minutes walk from the main hotel. 10 days of blissful peace. Transfer from Male airport arranged by the hotel with transfer taxi on arrival at Dharavandhoo. Room very comfortable, spotlessly clean, enormous bed and bathroom with choice of indoor or outdoor shower, toiletries provided. Outside seating area with water, tea and coffee making area available 24hours. A very useful drying area also provided making it very simple to wash and dry swimwear etc. Free WiFi available, we had good speed when using the Internet. Beach towels and yoga mats also provided. Excursions available from the hotel, good snorkeling from the hotel beach and also boat trips to other sites are an option. Unfortunately the Manta rays had left Hanifaru before we arrived but still a beautiful area to see turtles, sharks, many small fish varieties and hard corals. We were fortunate to see dolphins frequently over our stay. The bikini beach and local beach are kept very clean, sunbeds are provided by the hotel. Staff are truly lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen team went above and beyond to cater for our 3 years old Granddaughter's tastes every day. Food excellent, better than any of the resorts we have previously stayed at. The Maldivian night buffet meal was beyond excellent, no drummers/dancers but true Maldivian food, just perfect! Owners also take an active role in excursions , dealing with guests needs, arranging transfers etc and are very approachable. Wishing I could remember everyone's names, but to all at LVIS you now have a very special place in our hearts, we will see you all again, it took 28 years to find you we won't lose you now!!!!!

Excellent small hotel located right on bikini beach. Friendly staff, they really make you feel a valued guest. Rooms are complete and clean. Food is of excellent quality and with the buffets they have a good variation or when they serve a la carte they have plenty of choices. So a well deserved 5 out of 5 stars.

The rooms have a good size and are equipped with everything you need: enough storage space, hairdrier, fridge, safe, etc. We could sleep very well in the bed and the AC provided a much needed cool air. The rooms get a quick clean every morning. There are lots of different possibilities to chill in the garden and on the beach which is directly in front of the hotel building. The island does not offer many places to eat, but fortunately the food provided by the hotel kitchen is cheap and tastes very good. They even managed to provide something different for the dinner every day on our 7 days stay. The tours provided are OK, with the Mantas snorkeling tour being the main one that is done every time there is a possibility to see these cool animals. Unfortunately most of the tours are very weather dependent and get canceled pretty often. The hotel reef is great, filled with hundreds of different fishes. Flying foxes flying around on the island are another cool animals you can spot. The internet was very slow. After a small sandy part, the entrance to the water is filled with stones and dead corals so it is best to have shoes on. The island does not offer many activities, so if you are not snorkeling or diving it is not much else to do.
