皇家飯店(Royal Hotel)

Situated on the seafront short walk into the town centre. Many restaurants and pubs nearby. Decent sized rooms and nice breakfast. Dog friendly. Paid parking next door. Old fashioned bathroom with weak shower. Some confusion at the front desk where they tried to make me pay for a pre paid room.

Nice location on the beach in Deal. Decent sized rooms and ok breakfast. Pay car parking next door. Good water pressure and comfy bed. WiFi did not work well kept dropping out and water in shower was not very hot.

Everything is great. The room is spacious. Food is good.

On arrival we were informed the hotel was under-staffed & our room wouldn't be ready for another hour. Our room & the entire hotel was incredibly hot although thoughtfully a fan was provided in our room. The heating system was outside our room & was very loud. We also had people above us who were running/stamping in their room until gone midnight. We had to ask them to stop. Breakfast was excellent on the first day but the next day we waited 45 minutes for our food to be served & the supplies of juices & croissants was empty for a while. The hotel is very cosy & conveniently situated. It was always busy with a lot of non-residents & service was slow. Extra complimentary supplies were provided immediately upon request by the cleaning staff. All staff were friendly but very busy. It would be good if parking at the hotel could be reserved for residents. We enjoyed our stay but felt the price didn't reflect the value of the service & accommodation. We would rate the hotel 6 out of 10.

We enjoyed our stay and the only area which was disappointing was the breakfast. The staff were friendly especially Tina who was exceptionally hardworking.

The hotel looks fantastic and is in a great location. Staff were great too. However, I booked a twin room and ended up with 1 single bed? Too tired after a 6 hour drive to argue so left until returning. Very dated inside, would not recommend unless you're desperate.

Unfortunately our booked room had a water leak so we were called on the departure morning to be advised that we were downgraded to the family room, which we accepted. The family room had mould in the bathroom and dirty carpets. The restaurant was also closed so all meals were in the bar, regretfully we were not told of this until after waiting 5 mins outside the restaurant and later asked about breakfast. Wifi is just about non-existent. Overall the hotel is in dire need of refurbishment.

Spacious rooms with comfortable bed. Large fluffy towels in a good sized bathroom with a shower with plenty of power. Fantastic tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Definitely value for money in a lovely location.
