堡壘飯店(The Fort Hotel)

Went for quick lunch there food is lovely but unfortunately that’s the second visit to outside beer garden and half order missing.. very disappointing staff that take orders are not paying attention..very apologetic but this shout happen one person finished eating before rest comes out

Brown and small..... Apartment #1. After a 5hr drive to the hotel I checked in excited about my expensive Apartment booking. Firstly no hotel parking. 2 doors and a flight of stairs up to the "Apartment ". The brown carpeted stairs led me to a brown carpeted living room with brown textured wallpaper.... was like my gran died and I was clearing out her house??!! Kitchen and bathroom seem to have been refurbished but as fir the rest cheap and tacky. Hardly any natural light and pathetic lighting throughout. Felt more like a hostel than an apartment. Perspex behind the dining table? Don't know who stays there but must be messy eaters? Won't be going near it again. Stayed in better travel lodges than that apartment.

As a vegan, was really impressed that there was a separate vegan/vegetarian menu but no vegan options for dessert which doesn’t make sense. Even a simple sorbet would have been an acceptable option. Really need to up the game for vegan options over and above main courses.

Just enjoyed another great week at the Fort whilst playing golf at Carnoustie. The environment is very warm and all the staff super friendly and helpful. The ferry offers plenty of restaurants and other bars to while away the evenings. Alternatively enjoy the food and vibrant evenings in the Fort - Oh and if your a sports fan there is a TV in every corner

I mentioned in a review before about the hotel being excellent but I forgot to mention the breakfast waitress is amazing nother is a bother for her She is a amazing friendly efficient woman so customer caring woman Our breakfast was delicious and you could have top ups of tea and coffee and extra toast Andy is one of the most friendly persons I know he is super efficient at his job and helps in any way he can Love our stay at the fort

We had to check in at the bar which was very busy therefore it took some time to be served. We were then asked to go to reception. The lovely man took our payment of £160 for the night. This did not include breakfast. We were then asked to walk along the road to our room which was in another building. It has recently been refurbished and it does look very nice initially. Unfortunately the shower was not clean and the floor looked as though it had not been cleaned for sometime. There was shaving foam left at the side of the sink cabinet. The bed was very small and the bedding was poor quality. I feel many places are charging high end prices for very poor quality. The bar was always busy and the food is supposed to be very good but we didn’t eat here so can’t comment personally. We would not return at this price unfortunately.

Excellent. I requested a table for 6 for lunch at the last minute, the Fort went above and beyond and moved a few tables around to accommodate us. Good menu with something for everyone: everything from soup, baked potatoes, burgers, to a full blown lunch and all proper sized helpings. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices are not ridiculous. We all agreed we had had a very positive experience. We’ll be back again soon.

Broughty ferry totally diffrent great place everyone loves a sing song through there loved the diffrent scenery The fort Hotel was really lovley very cozy and welcoming. the staff are so friendly we met the manager at the desk amd she was a very nice lady. Gentleman who was running the bar and dealing with bookings hat off to him, pub was very busy and a great atomosphere all round One small issue which the toilet didnt work properly but were offerd another room but we decided to make do as was only for one night and we had already unpacked. I would use this hotel again awh and ps entertainment on a saturday night in the lounge was brilliant

Excellent meal, very happy with food steak pie was delicious as was the fish. Staff were very pleasant and happy. Prices were really good value for money. Spent less than I was expecting. An amazing place for a meal in Broughty Ferry Dundee! .
