鄧迪中心普瑞米爾飯店(Dundee Centre)

I decided to go on a wee break to Dundee at the Premier Inn Dundee Centre. What a hotel it is, I didn't expect it to be so big. I got a sea view room which was amazing. Could see right to the Tay Bridge. The bed was really comfortable and it was a great room. I went to the Beefeater which is linked in to the Premier Inn and it was great, apart from it being a bit overpriced but the staff were lovely and couldn't fault it. And a 12pm check out is even better. I will defo be back, I'd also say if anyone is thinking of going, if you take your car, there is a £4 car park charge per night, but I got a taxi there and only cost around £5.

We have stayed in a number of Premier Inns in recent years and I would have to say that Dundee Central was the best of them all, ideally located near the city centre and railway station the staff in both the Inn and adjacent restaurant were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and enjoyed a great outlook over the Tay river. Would highly recommend.

Chose this hotel as it was close to Discovery Point which was main purpose of visit. Opted for the "Meal Deal" to avoid need to look elsewhere so it was disappointing that the restaurant was closed because of water ingress on both evenings. Whilst this outside hotel's control it was not helped by having to go out on what was one of the wettest weekends of the year. Continental breakfast was offered but it would have been a nice gesture to have made this complimentary.

Arrived for a one overnight stay. Reception staff - were initially very helpful and pleasant. Check in was very efficient. However due to fact of excessive rain - which the staff could nothing about - the adjacent Beefeater was not serving food on night of arrival or cooked breakfast next morning due an electrical fault although continental breakfast was available. Fellow residents that were checking were quite grouchy and ira table about this but unfortunately nothing could be done about this. Bedroom clean and comfortable and overlooking the Firth of Tay over to fife. However television not working-?cause. Went to reception 1. First time receptionist I’ll get new batteries for your remote along to your in five-ten minutes. After 20 minutes nothing. 2. Took remote to reception another receptionist- I’ll get a new remote to you in a couple of seconds- after 5 minutes nothing. Went out for my tea. 3. Went down with remote again saw first receptionist -“I’ll put new batteries in it just now”. Gave me remote back I’ll pop along to your room in five minutes to see if it’s working? Still waiting next day. So if anyone is in room 117 beware the TV. Hence why I couldn’t give a full honest review.
