I stayed during the Easter holidays. Unfortunately due to the flooding the hotel had lots of cancellations. However I made it down to durban without any problems. My room was on the 15th floor. Nice large room with great views over the Indian ocean. Even got a nice birthday surprise upon check in. Recommend the breakfast buffet. Big selection of nice full English breakfast and some tea's and coffee. All the staff are very welcome and friendly all over the hotel. Easy to get taxis, close to the bus stop and beach.Safe location.Will stay here again.

June 26-30 2023. First room: not made up on arrival. Second room: broken phone which reception was unable or unwilling to resolve. Third room ('suite') from manager: dirty, stained curtains and couch, damaged fittings, peeling wall paper, broken window etc. Safety catches on window broken, so easy egress for a small child or suicidal adult from the fourth floor room. Noisy hotel, staff friendly but poorly trained and chronically unreliable. Hotel airport transfer booked and paid for five days earlier failed to arrive. An 'pirate' ride sharing car (different number plates) initially offered as a substitute. You, like I me, will be tempted to accept it, just to escape the abject Onomo Durban.

The perfect hotel to stay at when visiting Durban to watch a cricket match at Kingsmead. Room was spotlessly clean and crisp white linen. Very friendly staff and safe parking. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Forget that super fancy, very expensive hotel next door. You know the one. Stay here instead. The Beverly Hills is fantastic, and the location can’t be beat. We could walk to restaurants and feel very safe. The boardwalk / beachfront was connected to the hotel property (with a security guard offering cold water upon our return). There’s free parking on site, and the pool area, with shaded lounge chairs, is upscale and relaxing. The breakfast options were so ample and varied that it took us several walk-throughs just to determine what we should have (or where we should start!). The room was very pleasant, with robes, nice linens, and a convenient patio with table and chairs for comfortable ocean and people watching. We also had a perfect view of the gorgeous lighthouse. We really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience, and the Beverly Hills gave us everything we wanted or needed at a much more reasonable rate than the Oyster place next door. We can’t recommend the Beverly Hills highly enough!
