皇家燈塔飯店(Royal Beacon Hotel)

Check-in was easy. Room was clean and tidy.Check-out was easy. All staff were super friendly except for one elderly lady at reception desk who made me feel like I owed her something. Would recommend this location

This hotel is only royal hotel in Exmouth perfect location near escaplande it has it ownn private garden for drinks and relaxation It you like to stay in back dated themed hotel staff is very friendly my stay was good value for money

Lovely hotel in a Victorian building overlooking the sea. Room very spacious and clean. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. My only minor gripe is that we added breakfast for £15 a person and whist the cooked breakfast was excellent it was advertised as a buffet breakfast and there was no fruit, croissants or orange juice available. I think it was because they had run out as I saw other customers consuming them and think they had probably run. Nevertheless overall a good stay and nice change from chain hotels

The staff were lovely and very helpful especially the handyman who fixed the lift and our shower as soon as he was informed. We stayed in a courtyard room which was small. My partner ,who is 6ft and big built could not fit in the shower and had to walk around the end of the bed sideways as the gap between bed and wall was also small.

The rooms were very nice, but the communal area ie stairway to the Courtyard rooms could do with refurbishment ie. new carpet and a lick of paint. Also we found the breakfast just right for what we wanted but the staff at breakfast were not very efficient, ie if you requested something it did not arrive or you had to repeat your request.

The room was outdated and unclean. I noticed the dirt and dust on the first day and was told it would be sorted, the room didn't get cleaned and staff promised it would be sorted again (this didn't happen). The staff were lovely to deal with but couldnt takr any course of action other than move us (the offered room was also terribly dusty) or pass a message on to management. I left a complaint at the end of our stay and was told management would be in touch but so far this hasn't happened. Really dissappointed considering the high price of £140 a night! Mediocre and dirty room.
