The hotel is located near the Sandy Park Rugby ground and conveniently located near the M5. If you're going to the rugby, then that's a bonus, but if you're not, and you go on a match day, you may find that it's somewhat busy.
I was surprised that over-night parking wasn't free for guests of the hotel. So plan for an extra £12/night for parking. The IT didn't seems to be working correctly when paying for parking/breakfasts, which took over half an hour to sort out. it's a good job we weren't in a hurry.
Breakfast at £12 per person was very good. It was particularly nice to see the cook preparing fresh fried eggs... much better than the rubbery eggs you often get at hotels. The room was good sized, very clean, and there were tea/coffee making facilities... a detail often lacking in hotels nowadays. Overall, I have rated the hotel three stars out of five. it would have got five if the parking had been free, and checking had been smoother.
