蘭斯當最佳西方飯店(The Lansdowne, Eastbourne)

we had to call 2 time during the night,our 21 month old small one was shevering since they have turn off the heater,then one of the store staff has provided us external heater,we have paid for all the facilities but seems like manager needs to cut down the cost by turning off the heater by their end to save money,,patetic to see something from a best hotel in the area......

Hotel is cute and quirky. It was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Ate in the 1912 restaurant food delicious. Room was small and very warm. However fan was provided and had the windows open Tea coffee facilities provided as well. Bed comfy although it qas a small double, ok for 1 person. Had a sea view room which was nice Breakfast was good too. Hotel wasnt too noisy either. Wven qith road sea view didnt really hear the traffic..or other guests until the morning. For a night or 2 away in my opinion this hotel is perfect For parking they give you a permit and you can pay couple quid extra for the next day. Have to park on the road in a particular zone tho. Will definitely return.

Beautiful room. Recently refurbished with a sea view. Two radiators to turn up or down to get the temperature to suit you. Lots of little lounges with new furniture tastefully decorated. Despite its size the hotel seemed cosy. Lovely breakfast which was replenished when requested. Friendly staff. We were impressed that the receptionist told us where we could get a free parking spot rather than selling us a seafront parking ticket. We have stayed at many hotels in Eastbourne but this one is our new favourite.

We had an issue with the double bed in our family room which meant we had to relocate but the matter was dealt with promptly and professionally. Overall the service was great and the room was adequate for our needs.

Never have I stayed in such a small room with such a small bed, pushed up against a wall making it effectively even smaller. But the real kicker was the room was like a sauna! Unbearable. No AC. Window opened an inch at most. It was mind boggling that they would even allow the room to be sold. On the plus side, beautiful location and excellent food in the restaurant.
