Absolute incredible stay for the value and the location! Highly recommend and will come back!

We have stayed here several times. We come to Dallas often and it’s always a great location to stay! The staff is typically amazing! On our way out, i simply asked if we could have 2 cookies for the road. One of the employees at the desk said “they weren’t ready yet…”.Ok that’s fine, we moved on. But then she also mentioned,”and it’s usually for the people checking in.” Ummmm, ok. I have NEVER been denied because of whether or not I was coming or going. She was pretty rude about it. She probably should have stopped at telling us she simply didn’t have any ready yet.

My room had baby roaches walking around my nightstand and had a strong cigarette smell even though it was smoking free room. I tried using their swimming pool and it was filthy. It seem that it hadn’t been clean in months. Worst thing was that at time of check-in staff charged me again even though I had paid my room through *******. I had to go back and forth with them to be reimbursed the additional $1300 they charged me for 2 rooms.

Front desk was very friendly, polite, and informative. I didn’t like that there was no valet parking or help with bags. The front desk lady said that location didn’t offer valet but pointed at a the podium who was supposed to be the bell hop but that not great us nor offer to help with luggage. He came across as not wanting to be bothered. I was standing there with a baby on my hip. 3 suit cases and 2 carry bags. Totally different double tree experience than any he other locations. Place was clean and housekeeping was great.

The key for room 428 seemed to work as the green light indicated unlocked but the door constantly would not open until about the 6th attempt every single time! The coffee maker needs to be replaced. I only used it to heat water for my tea but found dirt settlement in the cup that has accumulated over the years.
