底特律大都市源宿飯店(Element Detroit at the Metropolitan)

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and walking distance to anywhere you need to go in downtown Detroit. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful to any request we had. The Monarch Club upstairs is beautiful and a must stop in for a cocktail or tapas. The staff at the club made us feel so welcomed as well.

Second time my wife and I have stayed at this location. Both times have been fantastic. The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful. Valet is one of the best and most professional we have ever experienced. Rooms are super clean and zero issues. Location is great. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

Amazing hotel, beautiful, spacious rooms, clean, perfect location. But the incredible staff from the women at the front desk, to the employee who took the time to walk us to the breakfast, we were blown away why the attention to customer service

We booked a “Studio 2 Queen Beds” that listed the accommodations for up to 5 people. Photos of the room showed 2 regular queen beds, as well as the listing on ******* indicated that the room came with a Queen sofa bed. It did not come with the sofa bed, so we were forced to rent an extra room to accommodate the number of people (there were 5 of us). The hotel was completely inflexible and blamed *******, ******* blamed us for booking too few guests, and in the end we were out an extra $160 CAD for an extra room. ******* claimed that the sofa bed listed was one of the queen beds in the “Studio, 2 Queen” listing, despite the face that it said it could sleep 5 people (which is not possible to do in 2 queen beds alone). Left a terribly sour taste in our mouth. The hotel staff seemed to have had identical issues, blamed us and were quite rude. If you don’t need a guarantee for the number of guests your room will accommodate, don’t worry. If you have more than 2 people, you may not get the room you booked. Be careful!

Hotel staff was nice. Would have been nice to know that the bar was a separate entity and that you couldn't just walk in and there is no room service. You can hear EVERYTHING from the hallways and from outside, dont plan on getting a good nights rest.

It was a great stay! The hotel was beautiful and the room was clean and trendy. The breakfast was outstanding! Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I love this hotel! The perfect location for downtown activities, if you’re looking for space, best rooms for the price in Detroit.

There is an exclusive bar at the top of the hotel and after returning from a nearby nba game we decided to visit the bar which as guests of the hotel did not require a reservation there were open seats but we were shuffled to the bar with one seat as a bartender begrudgingly greeted us but never returned to take our order. We were told we could order drinks and take them to our room but not stay in bar. My wife and I are in are 50’s and we felt we were age profiled (it was a very young crowd) we left after standing for 20 minutes (only one seat) without being waited on. Breakfast the next morning was underwhelming as the coffee ran out (I went and got the lady to get it refilled) the pastries, eggs, sausages and forks ran out as well - the toaster was broken and the cook preparing omelettes could barely stand up and keep his eyes open. I had coffee. My wife had yogurt because that’s what was available for food. The shower is very slippery beware-you could fall, the bathroom is not well lit for my wife to put makeup on. Should’ve asked for extra towels only got 2 ? The floor is a stick-on tile and was coming up in a few spots Sadly as we were making sure there were no other items on the bed, when we were leaving we found a blood spot that you could see under the sheet. Don’t know when it was cleaned last. It was our anniversary stay over. Thought we were going to a boutique hotel. Underwhelming. Disappointing. Expected so much more.
