h we had booked through Agoda and had paid for it in advance for approximately AUD 150 per night a total of over $1000 for 7 nights? But when we got there the manager wouldn't give us the room, unless we pay an additional of FJ$600 or so, because Agoda rate was not correct?!! Therefore, we , the guest were to be penalised for it. He held us, two old people, at their counter for 4 hours from 6 pm to 10 pm while he rang Agoda so many times in order to get what he wanted, the additional $600? Agoda kept hanging up on him each time and did not want to talk to him for what he wanted? though Agoda had failed to sort things out prior to guest arrival or have the courtesy to contact us to cancel booking because the resort manager does not like Agoda as a company and or as well as their bookings, but it went through and he did not stop it when he could!!! Because the manager failed to tell me to cancel the booking 3 days before flight and not only that, he told me to come and continue the trip as he will sort out the matter with Agoda later? Yes he did so, But only used us/ me to complain to Agoda at 10 pm on behalf of Nila Resort, in order to get the money for Nila from Agoda. Why, because he could not do it himself!!! He did sort things out. But only by using us, the guest. Because Agoda did not do the same in 3 to 4 days that the resort manager had contacted them for a dispute on their room nightly rate!!! Anyhow, it is over now. It was a shocking experience for us. Although Agoda paid them the difference may be just to save us from sleeping outside the Nila Resort door step, but I personally believe that that resort is not worth more than $100 per night at its best. Meaning we and Agoda had paid them too much anyway. The breakfast was shocking and repeatedly every day the same with horrible and badly cooked ,cheap pork sausages and frozen spring rolls. Could you imagine? every day for as long as you stay there!! No imagination in Nila resort managers. Continuing that they will go down. I admit that their staff are friendly and helpful ( the only positive) and the rooms are reasonably clean. But that is about all. The rooms are over designed in size and built, hence their expectation of room rates which are not justifiable in totality. Overall, I will not recommend this place to anybody at all specially for their rates. As for its star rating, could hardly make it to 3. May be 2 to 2.5.
