Our flight arrived delayed, thankfully had messaged few days before to hotel and emailed before flying who then kindly arranged transport to the hotel. Arrived in the evening and were given a double split-room, when I then checked the booking details I realised we had been given the wrong room and were actually supposed to be in the superior room. This is the start of the issues with this hotel… The Lady on reception said we would need to speak to the manager in the morning regarding the room issue. We asked for breakfast to be as early as possible as we had a boat tour booked at 9am and was told it would be ready for 8:15, it arrived at 8:45 and we had to rush to eat before leaving. Upon return that day we went to see the manager who had a very well rehe****d line to say that there was a sewage issue in our intended room that conveniently would take 3-4 days (our length of stay) to fix and that it was “better than sleeping in a field” - for over 200 euros a night, you can imagine this sarcastic comment was far from appreciated. The lady on reception the evening before had said that another customer had complained and there had been some room swaps, so we are certain that our room was given to another guest and we were downgraded as a result. The “plunge pool” we had next to the room was filthy and not cleaned the entire stay (see photo attached), needless to say we didn’t use this as a result. The manager said there was nothing he could do about the room but could provide us with some drinks as a compensation… of course, these scarcely arrived throughout the duration of the stay as we were mostly away from the hotel, and no other compensation provided. The breakfast were good, very filling, although late every single morning and always something incorrect or missing. The second day I went to speak to reception as breakfast was scheduled for 8:30 and hadn’t arrived by 9:10, the lady had the schedule on her screen and others had put 8:45 or later and were sat eating their breakfast, and we were just told there was a “miscommunication” at the bar and we ended up eating at 9:30. You can imagine by this point I had very little confidence in anything going right for our stay….. The sheets and pillows were not changed each day (just the bed re-made) so by the third day we were quite disappointed to be sleeping in the same bedding. The breakfast (even though it was always had something wrong) and view from the pool area are the only positives we take away from this stay compared to the advertised standards on their website, the number of issues we faced, the managers sarcastic response, and the overall lack of engagement to try to fix these. This trip I was planning a surprise proposal to my partner and had of course booked a hotel I thought would accompany such a great trip, it was however a great disappointment, and the only downside to an otherwise great trip to Santorini, and we will certainly not be returning or recommend to others to s
