托爾林赫旅館(Torlinnhe Guest House)

The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The view is gorgeous and location is very convenient to travel to Isle of Skyes and Glencoe.

Das Torlinnhe Guesthouse liegt ca. 2km außerhalb des Stadtkerns von Fort William direkt am Loch Linnhe bzw. der A82. Von unserem Zimmer im 1. OG und vom Frühstücksraum hat man einen tollen Blick auf das Wasser und die gegenüberliegenden Berge. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und hießen uns herzlich Willkommen. Das Zimmer wie auch das gesamte Guesthouse ist super sauber und gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Auf dem Zimmer selbst gibt es mit Aktivkohle gefiltertes Wasser zum Trinken sowie die Möglichkeit sich Kaffe oder Tee zuzubereiten. Inklusive frischer Milch. Diese steht im Kühlschrank im Flur, wo es auch eine kleine Whisky-Bar gibt (mit Vertrauenskasse). Die Betten sind mega gemütlich - wobei uns das vielleicht besonders auffiel, da wir zuvor in spartanischeren Unterkünften entlang des West Highland Way genächtigt hatten ;-) Das Bad ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich vorstellen kann. Bis hin zu lokaler (Natur)kosmetik. Ein weiteres Highlight ist das Frühstück. Neben den klassischen Dingen eines kontinentalen Frühstücks bekommt man auch die Wahl einer warmen Speise, welche man i.d.R. bereits am Abend zuvor auswählt und diese Info dem Haus zukommen lässt. Ebenso wie die geplante Frühstückszeit. Beides ist nachvollziehbar, da es das Frühstück für die Gastgeber besser planbar macht. Alles war frisch und lecker und wieder einmal liebevoll angerichtet. Es gab ebenfalls lokale Produkte wie Honig und Marmelade. Und auch Alternativen wie z.B. Hafermilch. Kurzum: es fehlte uns an nichts. Auch wenn das Torlinnhe Guesthouse selbst darauf hinweist, eben ein Guesthouse und kein Hotel zu sein, so kommt es dem mit all seinen Angeboten und dem überdurchschnittlich guten und netten Service dem doch schon sehr nah. Mehr auf jeden Fall, als so manch andere Guesthouses. Wir haben uns auf jeden Fall sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Torlinnhe Guesthouse wieder wählen und auch jedem weiter empfehlen.

Man kommt als Gast, ist aber eigentlich Zuhause. Mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl zieht sich das liebevolle Konzept durch das gesamte Haus. Von lokalen und regionale Produkten, sowohl beim Essen, als auch bei den verwendeten Textilien und Seifen/Duschgelen/Shampoo, bis hin zu kleinen Details im Bad (Näh-Kit, Sleep-Well-Kit, Maniküre-Set, etc.), einer Wiskeybar und frischer Milch für den Kaffee auf dem eigenen Zimmer. Freies WLAN und ein Smart-TV (was man bei der wunderschönen Aussicht, auf die gegenüberliegende Natur, nicht benötigt) runden den Aufenthalt ab. Mark und Larisa führen ihr kleines aber feines B&B mit sehr viel Liebe und sind für einen kleinen Plausch immer aufgeschlossen.

Stayed the last night of our mini Scottish adventure here. Welcomed on arrival with a coffee and cake overlooking the loch. We had room number 1 with a lovely loch view, very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we checked out smoothly and we’re away. Highly recommended.

Definitely a 5 Star location and guest house. Mark the proprietor is absolutely the best. His attention to detail and service is second to none. If we come back to Ft. William we will stay here again. Great breakfast served in style. Highly recommend staying here.

This is a really lovely place that unfortunately, we had a very short stay in. We were late checking in but were accommodated in a very nice way. It’s always a treat to check into a cozy room with homemade cookies. So neat and tidy. Breakfast was fantastic and our first experience with full Scottish breakfast. It was the perfect place to try haggis.

I cannot say enough positive things about this accommodation. So many nice touches and details. The bedding is lovely, the cookies and filtered water were appreciated, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Best haggis I had in Scotland. We met the owners and parents, and they were lovely. Be aware that this is a small accommodation and not staffed in the evenings. You need to pre-order your breakfast and select your eating time the night before. Wonderful location for hiking in the Glencoe region. I would recommend a stay at Torlinnhe Guest House if you are in the area.

De passage à Fort William lors de notre voyage en Ecosse, nous avons eu l'occasion de passer une nuit à Torlinnhe Guest House. Cet endroit est absolument parfait, nous avons été ravis de notre arrivée jusqu'à notre départ. Notre chambre était superbe et très bien équipée, on ne manque de rien !! Nous serions restés plus longtemps si nous en avions eu l'occasion. Un grand merci à Mark pour son accueil chaleureux et son petit déjeuner très copieux et de très bonne qualité. Nous remercions également toute l'équipe et nous recommandons cet endroit à quiconque souhaiterait séjourner à Fort William. Ps: vue magnifique de notre chambre ainsi que de la salle de petit déjeuner, ce moment fut magique.
