All in all was a comfortable stay, a plus on the breakfast staff so friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was very good, hearty and warm. Only surprise was I had to pay again at the front desk even though I already did online upon booking. Yet to be resolved by Trip.com customer service side. I hope it will be soon and I can my refund.

Good location for a walk into town. Meals were good in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly

Premier Inn offers a good standard of budget accommodation. But this hotel is best avoided. 1. There are no ground floor rooms and the only lift was out of order for 24 hours during our stay. My partner has mobility problems and found it very difficult indeed there were other people who were older with more severe walking difficulties and they were having big difficulties. It's totally unacceptable. The hotel should be advertised as not suitable for anybody with a walking difficulty. 2. If you travel by car, the car parking is inadequate for the number of rooms. We have stayed here a few times because the location suits us but if you arrive back at the car park in the late evening (we had no choice about that) there's often no parking left. We had to park in a too tight gap between two cars making it difficult for the driver to get in and out of either car, or drive over the kerb and park in the paved area near the reception. There's no other suitable parking near the hotel. We had the same problem three nights in a row. NB we have a small car, not a bloatmobile, but it was still difficult. 3. There is a vending machine for snacks but it only has dreadful sugary junk food. We just wanted a packet of ordinary biscuits to have with a cup of tea but no luck. The only thing that was half-way acceptable was a KitKat bar but they ran out of those so there was nothing we found acceptable for 24 hours.

First of all, we have stayed at many premier inns and are huge fans. Staff were as fabulous as always and the room fine. However, the quality/value of the food was so disappointing. Terrible bruschetta- mainly a mass of red onions. The breakfast was barely warm and wasn’t regularly checked like it usually is. Worst of all was the watered down orange juice.

Disappointed at customer service. Asked for my nursing wife's food to be microwaved and they refused. Claimed it was for food and person safety. Asked if I can do it myself and they said no. After much hassle they finally did.

The staff were nice. The room itself was lovely. However. The bed and pillows were horrific. I had originally booked in for 2 nights on a trip home to Glasgow to visit family and friends. The single worst nights sleep (or no sleep really) I ever had in 50 years. I could hardly walk the next day. I just checked out one day early as I could not do another night there. Brutal mattress and pillows like sandbags. No-one on reception to help all Thursday evening. I just checked out and left. Very disappointed indeed.

This is an honest review from start to finish I have to say this was a poor experience we arrived around 1.30 and couldn’t check in until 3 fair enough we went to the bar got a drink then I went back for another round nobody around nobody on reception I stood at the bar for 20 minutes and watched several staff members walk past me and just look at me we never got our drinks as we now had to check shocking lazy service we got to our rooms and went in it was stone cold as the thermostat had been turned down to 14 on a freezing cold day lovely just what we wanted then to top it all of the website tells you that it is 0.76 miles to the hydra arena 😂😂😂😂😂 never in a million years it is around a mile and a half give or take and we were misinformed by the receptionist who told us we could walk there in 20 minutes nonsense it takes a good 45 minutes at a brisk pace I won’t stop here again it is outdated and poorly run there are far better hotels than this at the same price I won’t make the same mistake twice

Stayed 3 nights. Room clean but cobwebs on ceiling. Breakfast chaotic on Day 1. No food - literally nothing in the dishes, just spoons. Hardworking manager doing her best to sort it out. Improvement days 2 & 3. Whole place understaffed. We felt very sorry for the manager. The bread ran out on day 3 - so no toast for those coming after us until the delivery arrived. Staff sickness was cited as the reason. Our room on the third floor was quite noisy but we slept well, on the very comfortable bed. We were in and out quite a bit over our three days and hardly ever saw anyone on the reception desk although pressing the buzzer usually produced someone from a room behind reception. Is it unfair to say that this hotel feels in urgent need of a refurb? Everything looks tired and the tables in the restaurant area were always tacky to touch. Come on, Premier Inn, you can do better than this.

The hotel is okay but, considering a number of Premier Inns we have stayed in, is very tied looking. The stairwell carpet is threadbare in places and the whole place looks like it is in need of a good decorate. The restaurant chair fabric is very dirty and stained on just about every chair. The staff were friendly but there was hardly any of them! Our first morning there was no chef and so we were unable to have the cooked breakfast which we had ordered (they did give us a refund) and on the second morning thee was only one member of staff who was running around and trying her best. They also ran out of white bread - quite an essential for breakfast I would have thought. This was easily the least well cared for Premier Inn which we have stayed at and we won't be staying there again I'm afraid. This wasn't the fault of the staff there, just lack of maintenance and forward planning I think. It's a shame because it could be a great place.
