富勒頓公園飯店(The Fullarton Park Hotel)

This is the worst experience in my life, I booked that hotel online and paid GBP$40, I arrived at midnight and missed 8pm manual check in time while I didn’t receive e mail for auto check-in! no staff inside the hotel, no one reply the phone nor door bell ! The temperature at that time drop below zero degree and the booking website staff couldn’t contact them. Even if u could check in, you could not go out at midnight as you couldn’t come back again and die in cold temperature outside ! Ignore request for refund! No one will help u if u have problem in midnight! Eventually, no reply not refund after 14 days , while trip.com customer service provided good follow up for me .

This was the worst food we have ever been served in a restaurant! Blade of beef , which it wasn’t , was not even able to be cut with a steak knife and was like leather , was sent back and we were told it was a bad cut off beef , no refund , my partner ate some boiled potatoes and the frozen veg out a packet , everythingsoaked in a disgustingly gravy . My balmoral chicken wasn’t fresh made and was obviously microwaved from the friend and wasn’t edible , dried out and disgusting. I ate some potatoes and left the frozen veg The food wouldn’t have been served in an old man’s pub for £3 never mind a restaurant. Avoid this place at all costs it was absolutely disgusting. The place was absolutely freezing cold also… wouldn’t set foot in the place again and urge you not to waste your money .

Good stay. Unfortunately left outside in the rain after we got back from a concert. We were told that a night porter will be on shift and we should knock on the door to be let back in to the hotel. After ringing the doorbell and knocking several times, we ended up being let in by what we assume was a drunk customer on his way out for a cigarette. No night porter in sight. Other than that, it was a great stay. Surprised complimentary breakfast which we weren’t expecting too. Nice room, very clean. Definitely good value for money

I liked the fact that the hotel is a bar with rooms upstairs so you do not have to go out to get a drink when weather is bad and I do not like almost that same thing, if you want to get to sleep early it can be complicated. Fortunately they are super strict with the closing time and everyone in the bar is cleared straight so there is not noise at all or remaining people after finishing time.

Excellent service nice atmosphere food was excellent. First trip will definitely be back. I had the panini excellent hubbie had the braising steak with haggis which was excellent too If your in the area definitely give them a visit you won’t be disappointed

Very very noisy late into the night. No loo roll in one of the 2 shared toilets, across a 3 night stay.... Friendly staff during the day. Night porter very poor customer service. Room itself OK, dated

Stayed overnight to attend a family party in the Function Suite. Checked in at the bar which was very busy and loud. Given key to room which initially appeared clean with tea/coffee, clean towels provided, TV and hairdryer. Room was very cold and on further inspection found an empty bottle of Buckfast behind a curtain. Only one bedside lamp which had a broken shade! On our way to the party asked bar staff for teaspoons for tea tray which were missing and to fix the heating. Given one teaspoon sourced from the kitchen and heating eventually switched after second request. On return from the party heating was off again and the room cold. In the morning we had no hot water from the hand wash basin in the en-suite bathroom. Cobwebs noted in the corner of the bathroom. Breakfast basic but adequate comprising of cereal, toast, tea coffee, orange juice served by the same gentleman who had been closing the main door when we arrived back from the party around midnight the previous night. We mentioned the problems re heating and hot water when returning the room key. Staff apologised and said she’d ask the cleaner to check the boiler. No offer of refund mentioned. Staff were polite and friendly but we can’t recommend this establishment. Ok for a stop over but not somewhere we would want to stay again. Needs updating and attention to detail.

Booked for 2 nights only stayed the one as it was so bad. On arriving you have to book in at the bar of the pub which is not ideal as they were more interested in serving the locals their pints. Room was basic, no hot water in the bathroom, hot tap did not even work, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dirty tissue behind the door in the bathroom, very noisy from the main road outside and the bar below, beds were terrible, no breakfast other than a bowl of cornflakes, no tea or coffee or toast available. Overall very bad experience to be honest and definitely will not be going back. The only good thing about it was the Balmoral chicken in the restaurant.

Please don’t let the bad reviews by you off this place. Yes it is a pub but it clearly states this when booking. People who are complaining about this clearly didn’t read the info properly. Entrance is through the pub and this didn’t bother us as we was out most of the day and was not home til late at night. It was very loud of a weekend but if you are out late this wouldn’t be a problem. Breakfast was lovely, just plain and simple cereal, yogurts, fruit and toast. Choice of tea, coffee and juice. You do have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. It is a bit out the way of the city centre but there is a bus stop which takes you straight to the city centre with in 10/15 mins. Would highly recommend this place. Room are spacious and very clean.
